April 1911 "H. B. Hicks, who has been in the dairy business for two
years in Denver, has returned to his farm four miles north of Loveland."
October 1918 "Summoned to the bedside of his sick father, H. B. Hicks, a Loveland farmer, died Tuesday near Kalamazoo, Mich., of pneumonia, without seeing his father, who still survives him. Mr. Hicks had resided in this community for fifteen years. The body arrived hero today and funeral services were hold at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Loveland cemetery, Elder John Roberts of the Church of God officiating. The deceased left here about two w'eeks ago. When he reached Chicago he contracted a severe cold but continued his trip to his destination, where he rapidly became worse. He had been a tubercular sufferer for years. He was about 50 years old and is survived by his widow and eight children, one son being in the army. He resided in recent years on a ranch four miles north of Loveland."

county ranch for 30 years, died Tuesday at his home near Cowdrey, after a long illness.
He was a veteran of World War II,
He is survived by seven brothers and sisters. They are Mrs. George Grey of Grand Junction,
Mrs. Clarence Ford of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Floyd Reeves, Mrs. Opal Cress, and Calvin Hicks of Denver,
Theron of Salem, Ore., and Floyd Hicks of Loveland.
The funeral will be held at 10 am Saturday at the Kibbey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park."
