February 8, 1889 Knox County (Neb.) Democrat "Mr. Frank Nye, wife, and two children of Longmont, Colorado, are visiting Mr. J. L. Eakins and family of this city. Mr. Nye and family have made an extended visit east, and are now en-routc home. Mr. Nye's two children were very suddenly taken ill with the measles on Tuesday, which will necessitate a prolonged stay in Niobrara until they arc restored to health, and can safely resume their journey westward. Mr. Nyc is a very pleasant amiable gentleman, and very favorably impressed with Niobrara and its surroundings. "
