"Dora Elizabeth Richard was born December 16, 1881, near Rockwell City, Iowa, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Stock, North Kansas City, Mo, at the age of 60 years and 3 months. She was the daughter of Katherine and Byron Richard and united with the church in her early youth and was a faithful worker to the end.
She was united In marriage to Albert F. Borton on June 26, 1900, at her home in Rockwell City, Iowa. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Colorado, where they homesteaded. In later years they moved near Kansas City.
To this union was born six children, four sons and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Stock, North Kansas City, Mervin F. Borton, North Kansas City, Everett A. Borton, U. S. Army; A. Roy Borton, Lathrop, Virgil C. Borton, Ft. Leonard Wood, and Vera Borton, who preceded her in, died almost seven years ago. Seven grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters also survive her. Funeral services were held Friday. Everett Borton was not located in time for the funeral."

""Mervin F. Borton, 74, of Smithville, died Thursday at the home. He was born in Goodland, Kan., and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Borton was operator of Borton Standard Service Station, North Kansas City, 35 years before he retired. He was a member of Antioch Community Church, the International Association of Odd Fellows and the North Kansas City Lions Club. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Thelma Borton of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Werline of Smithville; two brothers, Roy Borton and Virgil Borton of Stewartsville, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Opal Stock of Claycomo; three grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery."

EVERETT

Everett received a Pennsylvania Veterans Compensation for WWII service from April 7, 1942 to March 2, 1946. He was born in Kit Carson County on November 4, 1906, and the check was mailed to 222 Lincoln Hy., New Haven, Allen County, Indiana.

Their oldest Bruce C. Borton, was born December 16, 1952 in Middletown, New York,, on 23 May 1970 in San Diego City, California, married Shirley A. Watson, Age 20.

Bruce died July 18, 1992.

" Roy A. Borton, 87, Braymer, MO., died Friday, August 1996, at the Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer. Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, August 5, at the Cox Funeral Home, Plattsburg. Burial in the Antioch Cemetery, Holt, MO. Family visitation 4:30 pm Sunday August 4 at the funeral home.
Mr. Borton was born in Bolsle, IA. He had lived most of his life in the Stewartsvllle and Plattsburg, MO. areas. He was a farmer, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Cameron, MO. He was married to Lillie Sellers on September 8, 1931. She preceded him in, died on February 26, 1980.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Arnold, Ludlow, MO., and Marilyn Masters, Louisville, KY, a brother, Virgil Borton, Stewartsvllle, MO, two grandsons, Dan Masters, Kansas City MO. and Gary Arnold. Waxahachie. TX/ , three granddaughters, Janet Smith, Kansas City, MO., Gayla Compton, Saratoga, CA., and Becky Short, Springfield, MO., and eight greatgrandchildren."
