December 1891 Howard (Fremont Countoy) items " Mrs. Moses Alexander has been very sick every since her return from California, but is getting some better.
Dr. Taylor says it is malaria brought from the foggy districts
of California."

"The wedding bells are ringing to-day. The contracting parties are
Bert Kelso, a merchant of Victor, Colo., and Miss Emma Alexander,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Alexander of this place.
The ceremony was performed by presiding Elder Bader, of Pueblo.
A large concourse of friends and relatives of the happy couple witnessed
the ceremony and were afterward invited to a sumptuously spread table
laden with all the delicacies of season of which all heartily partook.
The best wishes of the community follow the bride and groom to their
new home at Victor."

"M. W. Alexander was suddenly stricken with, died on last Thursday
night, between 10 and 11 o'clock. Ho had been working around during the
day and retired at night, feeling as well ns usual. Early in the night
he called to his wile that his arm was paining, and after she rubbed it
a few minutes he assured her that be would rest easy then, if she
would take the light out so he could sleep. She had but left the room
when she heard a peculiar sound and returned to his bedside,
only to find him breathing bis last.
The funeral services were held at the school house on Sunday
forenoon, Rev. Sandy delivering the funeral address.
Mr. Alexander was 70 years of age, and one of the first settlers
with his family in Pleasant valley, and during that time had secured the
friendship of all his neighbors.
He leaves a wife, two daughters and two sons,
besides an adopted daughter, all of whom were present at the
obsequies, except a daughter in California.
The respect of the neighbors was shown by the unusual large
attendance at the funeral. Mr. Alexander has been a semi-invalid
for a number of years."

She's had 12 kids, five living. Charles February 1871 in Kansas and Mattie M. April 1886 in Colorado.

In July 1900 M.W. Alexander, by heirs, sold some land to the D & R. G. railroad, land in range 10 E.N.M.M,, consideratin $300.
So the family was familiar with real estate in different areas, AND with being in
Cripple Creek, with Federal Land Office claims.

August 1901 "Mrs. M. W. Alexander returned from an extended visit in
Nebraska and Kansas. She returned in very poor health, but is improving."
