Thomas claimed a quarter in section 15, 7S 51W in 1907.
In 1910 Flagler precinct, Kit Carson County, Thomas Stanton is widowed, 72 born in Louisiana, a carpenter, boarding with Mary Girvin's family 56, widowed, born in Canada.
His father was born in Ireland, mother in Mississippi.
POSSIBLE
In 1885 Ouray County, Colorado, Thomas Stanton is a carpenter, 51, born in Louisiana, parents born in Ireland,, married but no spouse. He's boarding with teh F. Carney family, 38 born in Ireland, a miner, his wife M. 27 and four kids.
September 9, 1898 Ouray "DIED - At the residcnce of her parents about six
miles below the city,on Sunday, Minnie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Stanton, aged about eight years, after only a short illness. The
funeral was held Monday Rev. Mr. Lower, of Ridgway, officiating. The
family have the sympathy of a large circlo of friends in this sad
bereavement."
November 1899 "Frank Stanton and family departed Sunday for
Los Angeles where they expect to remain permanently. They have been
residents of Ouray county for many years and many friends will regret
to know of their departure."
POSSIBLE Edward Stanton, son of Thomas Stanton and Winfred Costello,
married Ann Fitzpatrick on April 21, 1881 in Orleans Parish. Both Edward and Ann were natives of Ireland, so they don't look likely.

Merritt A. Stanton was in Benton, Pennsylvania in 1880, age 1, with James O. Stanton and Henrietta J., both 33. Ella M. Stanton is 4.
1903 Scranton, Pennsylvania "Clyde and Merritt Stanton, who have
been in the West for some time, are the guests of their father,
James O. Stanton."
1907
1908 " Letters testamentary in the estate of Eunice Stanton, late of Factorwille borough, deceased, have been granted to James O. Stanton."
(This is likely James' mother Eunice Green Stanton 1826-1908.)
December 1910 "Merritt A. Stanton left Saturday for Perryville,
Penn., having been called there by the serious illness of his father."
James O. Stanton 1846-1927 is buried in Factoryville # 31966169.
Merritt A. Stanton proved up a quarter in section 24, 9S 43W, Kit Carson County in 1911.
Merritt Avery Stanton registered for WWI in Burlington, born Nov 26, 1878,
farming for Dana Shaw. His reference was Mrs. May Thomas of Factoryville, Pennsylvania.

Charles Stanton was born Nov 28, 1886 in Scranton to James O. Stanton and Henrietta J. Sahw,
1902 Scranton "Charley Stanton, who has been helping guard the mines at Duryea, spent Sunday .with his father, J. O. Stanton, this place. "
In 1910 San Francisco, Clyde H. Stanton is 27, Edit E. 33 (her second marriage) of thre years. Edith M. is 12, all three
born in Pennsylvania.
He registered for WWI in San Francisco, born March 27, 1883, with Edith his wife.
Clyde Stanton is buried in Colma California, dying Sept 29, 1938 # 87625536.
