Mary V. Smith and Bert Pulver, 27 married in Delihi on January 12, 1900.

His sister Elva Mamie Hughes 1868-1930 is buried in Fruita, Colorado # 17990518.

Mortimer Smith 1844-1904 # 120345352 and Charlotte 1847-1915 # 120345298 are buried in Delhi, Iowa.

Irving R. Smith, of Delhi Iowa, a farmer, 23, son of Mortimer Smith and Charlotte Reynoldson, married Mae Alice Tharp, 18, daughter of William Tharp and Mariah Dean, on November 4, 1903 in Delhi Iowa.
Irving claimed a quarter in section 18, 7S 51W in 1910.


They're in the 1910 census of Mesa County, Colorado, Irving a carpenter, 28 born in Iowa, Mary A. 24 in Wisconsin, with newborn Howard. His mother Charlotete Smith 62 is with them.

In 1930 Sterling, Colorado, Irving is 48, Mae A. 44, Howard F. 20, and Doran R. 12.


Irving Robert Smith 1881-1936 is buried in Sterling, # 21636476, with Mae A. (Reed) Smith 1886-1953 # 21636950.

In 1940 Sterling, Mae E. is 54, Howard 30, and Doran 22.

Howard Franklin Smith is also buried in Sterling 1909-1978 # 47062132.


BERT AND MARY

In 1880 Knox County, Illinois, "Bird" Pulver is 8, with Samuel 54 a carpenter and Janette 41. Dora is 20, Chester 17 works on the farm, Annie 14, Martha 12, Bird 7, andMillie 4.

Samuel W. Pulver 1834-1902 is buried in Knox County # 55840761, with Jeanette Doty (Hurlbutt/Pulver/Spencer 1838-1931 # 55840367.
"She was married to Samuel W. Pulver, September 17, 1857, at Altona, Illinois to this union were born eight children four of whom with their father preceded her in death. carrie Hurlbutt Huber, eldest daughter, passed away in 1885. David Henry died in infancy. Dora Pulver of Delhi, Iowa, died in 1918 and Chester Pulver of Williamsfield died in 1927l.
Mr. Pulver passed away December 1902.
She was married to Dean C. Hurlbutt of Elba, June 6 1906, taking up their residence in Yates City where they lived until the death of Mr. Hurlbutt in 1922. She then came to Williamsfield where she has since resided.
In August on 1930 she became ill and never fully recovered, gradually failing until she passed quietly away at 9 o'clock Sunday evening, March 1, 1931 at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 5 days.
She is survived by one sister Mrs. Albina Farrel of Colton, South Dakota, four childfren, Mrs. Amy Cole of chillicothe, Illinois, Mrs. Martha Cole of Lang Saskatchewan, Burt Pulver of Delihi, Iowa and Mrs. Nettie Cadwell of Williamsfield, Illinois. Also two Foster children, Dean Hurlbutt of Airburn, Iowa. A Grandson and Roy Davis of Elba, who were left to her care in early childhood and who were given a mothers love and devotion. There were nineteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren. Ten Great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends remaining to mourn her death."


In 1910 Kit Carson County, Bert is farming, 37, with Mary V. 31 born in Iowa.


Bert E. Pulver claimed a tract in sections 7 and 18, 7S 51W in 1913.

In 1915 he's a carpenter in Delaware County, Iowa, 41, born in Illinois, father born in New York, mother in Pennsyolvania.

Bert is a janitor in 1920 Delhi, 46, with Mary V. 41. Gladys V. 8 and Helen 6 were born in Iowa.

He's a carpenter in 1930 Delhi, with Mary, Gladys 18 a music teacher born in Colorado, and Helen 16 a retail merchant in dry goods.


Bert 1873-1971, per one tree, died in Delaware County, Iowa,

He's buried in Delhi # 38323144. "Bert, son of Samuel Wendell Pulver & Jannette Ann Doty, married Mary Viola Smith on 18 Jan 1900, in Delhi, Iowa"

Gladys married Donald Kimball Hucker, and is buried in Delaware County, 1911-1991.

Helen Charlotte Pulver, 28, married Ray Albert Schmidt in the District of Columbia on Feb 11, 1943.
