In 1880 Polk County, Iowa, Sarah J. Prine is widowed, 53, with George 27 a day laborer, Y,. F. 23, Wm. H. 21 and James M. 19. Miriam 14 and Charles 9 are at school. Grandcaugher Mary Prine is 5.
Mary's mother Melissa (Warren) Prine, spouse George, had Mary in 1875, and died in 1876.
Sarah Jane (Warren) Prine 1831-1896 is buried in Polk County, # 102166995, "wife of William"
James, 38, and Edith Eastridge, 26, daughter of W. Eastridge and Anna Betts, married in Polk County on January 11, 1900.
William Eastridge 1849-1934 is buried in Polk County # 64926747. "Wife Frances "Fannie" Beattie died Mar 4 1903 Alameda Co, CA - No Memorial."

farming, widowed, and living alone.

This John Prine might be unrelated, a locomotive engineeer in 1910 Denver, born 1871 in Michigan.
In 1920 James is in Palo Alto County, Iowa, 58, no occupation, uncle of either William R. Cudforth or Orileva L, both 27 born in Iowa. Orieva's mother was born in Indiana, so she's likely.
Arleva E. Sanford was the daughter of Isaac Sandford and Sina Prine.
In 1930 Polk County, James is still living with William and Orleva, with their son Ralyph 7.
James Marion Prine, born May 31, 1861 in Polk County to William Prine and Sarah Warren, both of Indiana, died
in Polk County June 11, 1937, widowed, husband of Edith Eastridge.
He's buried in Lowman Cemetery # 42804050. The informant was Leva Cutforth of Runnels, Iowa.
On the same stone as James 1861-1937 are Charles 1871-1938 and William 1859-1930.
Sina Jane (Prine) Sanford 1850-1930 is buried in the same cemetery # 42783049, with Isaac 1846-1907.
