Lee Nusbaum, 7 South 51 West
Levi "Nusebaum" was born October 21, 1875 in PUtnam County, Ohio to Peter Nusebaum and Catherine Habbegger.
In 1880 Mitchell County, Kanss, Peter "Neushaum" is 33, Catherine 30, Caroline 16, Amos 8, Alber 6, Levi 5, and Ellen 3, all kids and Caterine born in Ohio.
Rufus and Reuben are newborn in Kansas.
In 1895 Mitchell County, Kansas, Peter Nusbaum is 54, born in Germany, Anna 49 in Pennsylvania,
"Levy" 19 and Ellen 17 both born in Ohio,
Ruben 15, Ida 12, and Harvey 10 in Kansas.
1896 "Levi Nusbaum started for Nemaha to work on a farm, he is offered
$18 per month. His brother Amos and sister Ella are working there."
All seven are in Mitchell County in 1900, farming.
1908 Glen Elder, Kansas "John Marzolf and Lee Nusbaum transacted business at the "hub" Monday. "
October 1908 "Lee Nusbaum left Friday for Flagler, Colorado, where he will build a house on the quarter section that he has taken up for a homestead."
In 1910 Mitchell County, Kansas, Peter Nusbaum is 68, Anna 63, both born in Switzerland, retired farmer.
Peter and Anna are still in Mitchell County in 1920.
1910 "Peter Nusbaum and daughter, Ida started for Downs Sunday evening
where they visit Greider's and Hartman's then go to Colorado to visit
Levi Nusbaum and John and Ezra Fisher's."
(Ezra was in Cheyenne County, Colorado in 1910 - he's buried in Mitchell County 1871-1967.)
1912 Glen Elder "Mrs. Lee Nusbaum returned to Kansas City last week
after spending a short time with her sister, Mrs. John Dickinson."
December 1917 "Lee Nusbaum of Flagler, Colorado, a brother of J. A. Nusbaum is expected here about Christmas on a visit. The High school bonds which were voted at Hunter last week for a High school building at the above place carried by a big majority. Mrs. L. M. Shaffer is still keeping house for J. A. Nusbaum and sons. "
Lee is in the Kit Carson County census of 1920, single, 44, as "Lee Musbaum."
1923 Glen Elder "Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Nusbaum and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nusbaum visited Sunday, after church, with Albert Nusbaum's."
"Mr. Lee Nusbaum from Colorado,
has been visiting home folks for a
few days and left for his home Saturday."
Lee is farming in 1910 Kit Carson County, 34, born in Ohio of Swiss parents. He's single.
Lee claimed a quarter in section 35, 7S 51W in 1915.
He registered for WWI in Flagler,
born October 21, 1876, farming by himself.
His nearest relative was Peter Nusbaum of Glen Elder, Mitchell County, Kansas.
Lee Nusbuam, dying Sept 29, 1949 at age 73,
is buried in Mountain View cemetery, Pueblo, Colorado # 101744379.
