Kit Carson County Pioneers:

George and Ralph Jordan, 7 South 51 West



Winfield Jordan was the son of Russell 50 and Harriet 43 Jordan in Henry County, Indiana. Fannie is 20, Richard F. 8.
He married Alle E. Southwick on Spet 2, 1876 in Henry County.

In 1900 Cuming County, Nebraska, (George) Burton Jordan is 17, Ralph 14, with W.S. Jordan 48 and Alice E. 41. Russell is 21, Hugh 19, Grace 12, Roland 6, Wilbur 4, Harriet 2, and an unnamed son (Alvah Richard Jordan 1900-1981 buried in Cuming County, son of Winfield Scott and Alice E. Jordan.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, Ralph E. 24 born in Nebraska, and George B. Jordan 27 born iN Indiana are farming next to each other.


George proved up 240 acres in section 14, 7S 51W in 1912.


George 1883-1938 is buried in Cuming County # 57109843.


Ralph proved up 240 acres in section 11, 7S 51W in 1913.


In 1920 "Berton G." a carpenter, 37 and Ralph S. also a carpenter, 34 are with widowed mother Alice E. 61 in Cuming County. Hugh C. is 39, Rollon B. 26, Wilber S. 24, Harriett M. 27 and Alvah R. 19.

Ralph 46 and Bert 44 are still with mother Alice in 19390, Hugh 49, Rollie 36, anAlva R. 30.

Ralph is single in 1940 Cuming County, 54, living alone.

Ralph 1885-1960 is buried in Cuming County # 57109884.

So is George 1883-1938.
