William and Ida (Matzuewic) Jaskiewic, 7 South 51 West



In 1910 Kit Carson County, Wm. "Taskiewic" is 32, married ten years to I. M. 29, both born in Russian Poland. Peter 7, Julia 4, and Helena 2 were born in Pennsylvania, Annie one-month in Colorado.


William claimed a quarter in section 31, 7S 51W in 1914.


This is probably a different one - could be working in the coal mines around Lafayette.


William Jaskiewicz registered for WWI in Kit Carson County, born Nov 25, 1879.

In 1920 McKenzie County, North Dakota, William is 43, Ida 40, both born in Russia Poland.
Charlie Pete 17, Julia 14 and Helen 12 were born in Pennsylvania. Anna 9, Josephine 7, Mary 5, Agnes 3 and Stanley Edward 1 were born in Colorado.

William and Ida are in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1930, with Josephine 18, Marion 16, Agnes 14, Stanley 11 born in Minnesota, and Albina 7 in Pennsylvania.

The 1939 directory doesn't have either Ida or William.
In 1940 Erie County, Pennsylvania, Agnes is 23, born in Colorado. married to Walter Lenski 29 born in Poland. Walter Jr. a3 and Lawrence 1 were born in Pennsylvania.
Agnes's mother Hedwig Jaskiewicz, 59 - questionable marital status, born in Poland, is with them.
The 1940 directory has Mrs. Hedwig Jaskiewicz working at the Lawrence Hotel, living at 519 1/2 E. 9th.

In 1942 Hedwig (Wid Wm.) is living at 519 1/2 E. 9th.
Ida is the next line, a maid at the Lawrence Hotel, living at 357 E 2st.

Stella is also at 453 # 11th.

Stanley E. (Valeria B.) works at the Erie Crate & Mfg. Co., living at 645 E. 21st.

AGNES

The 1939 Erie directory has Walter Lenski at 657 18th, with Felix Gwiazdowski at the same adress.

In 1940 Erie County, Pennsylvania, Agnes is 23, born in Colorado, married to Walter Lenski 29 born in Poland. Walter Jr. 3 and Lawrence 1 were born in Pennsylvania.
Agnes's mother Hedwig Jaskiewicz, 59 - questionable marital status, born in Poland, is with them.

Walter is buried in Erie # 6904440, 1910-1974.

Agnes Lencki is buried in Santa Clara, California # 7338056.
"Grandma Aggie died from complications of a stroke at the age of 85 on February 4, 2000. She was born in Colorado on July 1, 1916. Sometime in early 1930's, she married Walter S. Lencki, who died on May 19, 1974 of complications from diabetes. She is survived by Walter Lencki of California (Joan Magee) and Lawrence Lencki (Manor, Pa.) and Randall J. Lencki (Carol Balazik) of Trafford, Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dave, Joanie, Laurie, Margie, Julie, Tommy, and Stephanie Lencki as well as several great-grandchildren.

JULIA

Julia Jaskiewic, 18, and Adam Wojnakowski, 21, married in Erie County on January 13, 1925. Adam was the son of Frank Wojnakowski and Josephine Grazlek.

In 1930 Erie, Adam is a laborer in a baker shop, 27, born in Poland, Julia 24 in Pennsylvania, with Dorothy 4 born in Ohio, and Bernice eight months old in Pennsylvania.

They're in the 1940 Erie directory, living at 522 E 31st.

In 1940 Erie, Adam "Wojnakosski" is 37, Julia 35, Dorothy 16, Betty 12, and Richard 7.

Adam registered for WWII in Erie, born Dec 27, 1903 in Poland.

Adam Wojnakowski died in May 1958 in Dade County, Florida.

Julia Ann Wojnakowski, born June 6, 1906 in Pennslvania, died in San Mateo County, California June 29, 1953.
She's buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Menlo Park, California # 108639915.

Bernice M. Wojnakowski, 19, married Walter H. Dittman on May 30, 1949 in San Francisco.
Bernice Marion Dittmann and Robert G. Bickel married in Carson City Nevada on July 22, 1977.
Bernice and Robert G. Bickel divorced in Martin, Florida on May 25, 1993.
Bernice, born July 18, 1929, died October 15, 2012.


JOSEPHINE

Josephine J. Jaskiewicz, 19, married John E. Shauberger, 23 on June 29, 1932 in Erie County. He was the son of Elwood Shauberger and Mary McCarthy.
John is single in 1940, living with mother Mary in Erie.

Josephine Joan Jaskiewicz, 37, married Homer G. Anderson on December 10, 1949 in Erie County. He was the son of Edward Anderson and Nina Wittiker.
Homer G. Anderson 1909-1969 is buried in Erie County # 155441216.

John L. Shauberger 1909-1884 is buried in Erie, spouse Violet C.

MARION

Marian Jaskiewicz, 18, married Vincent Moskalczyk on Sept 7, 1931 in Erie County, Frank was 22, son of Frank and Mary Bason Moskalczyk.
Marian was the daughter of William Jaskiewicz and Ida Matusiewicz Jaskiewicz.

"Vincent R. Moskalczyk, 72, died Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Residence, Wesleyville. He was born in Erie on August 11, 1934, son of the late Vincent F. and Marian Jaskiewicz Moskalczyk. Vincent was employe d with the Times Publishing Co. as a photographer and had been with them for 48 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Lawrence Park United Methodist Church; a member of the Siebenbuerger Club and the Mystic Valley Railway Society. Vincent served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Genevieve Moskalczyk; three sons, Matthew Moskalczyk and his wife, Kathy, of Palm Harbor, Fla., Peter Moskalczyk of Schaumburg, Ill., and Paul Moskalczyk of Wesleyville; two granddaughters, Amanda and Jacqueline; one brother, Howard Moskalczyk, of Bethlehem, Pa.; and many cousins."

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania "Howard Moskalczyk, 71, formerly of Fountain Hill, passed away Oct. 19, 2014. Born in Erie, he was the son of the late Vincent and Marian (Jaskicwicz) Moskalczyk. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10AM in St. Ursula Catholic Church 1300 Broadway Fountain Hill. Burial to follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery. "

HELEN

Helen A. Jaskiewis, 17, daughter of Wm. Jaskiewis and Ida Matzuewis, married Charles J. Pleszewski, 27, on August 10, 1925 in Erie.

Charles, divorced in 1938, married Mildred E. Phelps in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on July 11, 1939.

STANLEY

Stanley E. Jackson born July 1, 1918 in Flagler, Colorado, died Dec 24, 2001 in Tampa, Florida, buried in Erie Pennsyvania # 6050475.
"83, son of the late Vincent and Ida Hedwig Jaskiewicz.
He had lived in the Erie area since 1922 before moving to Florida this year. He was a master plumber, establishing Jackson Plumbing in 1960. Prior to that, he was employed at General Electric Co. He attended Wayne Park Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Valeria Czytuck Jackson, in 1993; seven sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel E. Jackson and his wife, Carol, of Erie, and Brian A. Jackson and his wife, Debra, of Lutz, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. "


Albina, a waitress born Aug 19, 1922 in Erie County, Pennsylvania to William Jaskieqicz and Ida Matusiewitz, a waitress living at 1896 E. 89th St, marrying Allen George Bailey on January 27, 1940 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Albina died in Cuyahoga County March 6, 1940.
She's buried in Erie -1922-1940 # 143656859.

Allen is widowed in 1940 Cuyahoga County census.

In 2013 Erie, Dorothy Stadtmiller made a donation in memeory of "Deceased Members of the Wajtasik Family, Jaskiewicz Family,"

ANNA (NOT THE COLORADO ONE) this one was born in 1901 to Frank and Anna Jaskiewicz.


Veronica "Dolly" Hartstein, loving mother, age 79, of Girard Township, passed on to Glory in the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2017.
Born June 1, 1938 in Erie, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Jaskiewicz) Wojtasik.
