Margaret McConnell and William F. Gibbs married in Phillips County, Kansas on March 21, 1900.

In 1900 Phillips County, Kansas, W. Francis is farming, born Dec 1875 in Kansas, married two months to Margarete A. July 1877 Indiana.
They're next to Nahum W. Gibbs Dec 1842 and his wife of two years Mary Nov 1835, with Catherine E. 24, Albert L. 20, Jennie A. 12. and Mary's son Bartlett Stubert 37.

Sarah Jane "Kelton" and David C. McConnell married in Warren County, Indiana on January 12, 1875.


Sarah Jane (Skelton) McConnell, widowed, born 1854 in Montgomery County Indiana to Richard Skelton and Martha Martin, married George Elton Cunningham on Sept 22, 1891 in Lacona, Iowa.

In 1900 Phillips County, Wm. McConnell, born May 1884 in Indiana, is with his mother Sarah J. Cunningham 41 born Sept 1859 in Indiana.
married ten years to G. E. Cuningham 45 born in Ohio. She's had eight kids all living, four with G. E Cunningham.

1904 " Frank Gibbs and Charlie McConnell are hauling their corn to Black Canon as he has purchased their corn.
Mrs. Frank Gibbs is on the sick list for the last two weeks, we hope for her speedy recovery. "

(Lewis was in Phillips County in 1900, born Sept 1881 in Illinois, parents in Indiana, a boarder with Willard 49 and Harriet aA. Cottirll 37.

1906 Phillipsburg " Mr. Williams and wife and little son spent Wednesday afternoon at W. F. Gibbs."

In 1910 Rooks County, Kansas, William F. Gibbs is 33, born in Kansas, Margaret A. 32 in Indiana, with Hadley 4, and Margaret's brother William P. McConnell 25 born in Indiana, farming.

Charley McConnell was a servant for Archer and Bertha Gibbs in 1900 Phillips County, born May 1879 in Iowa.

1911 " Chas. McConnell and family, of Lincoln, Neb., and L. McConnell and family, of Glade, were ' visiting home folks last week "
1918 "Chas. McConnell and family, of Sheridan, Wyoming, stopped off here for a few days' visit at the Simmer-man home. Leaving here Monday evening they were accompanied to Strong, Nebr., by Mrs. Simmerman. "
Charles Thomas McConnell registered for WWI in Sheridan, Wyoming, born May 14, 1879, an engineeer for the CB&Q, with Eva living at 329 E. Loucks in Sheridan.
Charles is buried in Sheridan 1879-1933, born in Benton County, Indiana, # 3524117.
" Charles T. McConnell, fireman and engineer on the Burlington for 23 years, died at the Sheridan County Memorial hospital yesterday afternoon.
He was born at Oxford, Ind., May 14, 1879.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eva McConnell, and eight children, Mrs. Pearl Westman, Mrs. Vera Yeo, Mrs. Ruby Noble, and Gladys, Harold, Hazel, Lillian and Melvin McConnell, all of Sheridan.
McConnell resided in Sheridan for 15 years. He was a member of the Eagles lodge.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at Reed's drawing room. The Rev. Oliver Reed will officiate"



William Francis Gibbs registered for WWI in Kit Carson County, Colorado, with an address of Kanorado, Kansas, born Dec 14, 1876, farming, with wife Margaret A.

William F. Gibbs proved up a quarter in section 26, 10S 42W in 1919 - almost on the Kansas border, so the Kanorado Kansas address on his registration was correct.
William Francis Gibbs, born 1876, is buried in Glade, Kansas # 84955558, with Margaret Anna (McConnell) Gibbs 1877-1947.

"Viola Bernice Gibbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Gibbs, died Monday, July 9, 1923 at the Haxtun hospital, following an illness of several years. The deceased was the eighth child of a family of nine children that have passed beyond. She was born in Kansas, April 6, 1911.
The body was shipped from Haxtun Tuesday evening to Phillipsburg, Kansas for burial.
Velva V. Gibbs 1911-1923 is buried in Glade # 84955576.
In 1930 Washington County, Colorado, William is farming, 53, with Margaret 52, and son Harley O. 23.

Harley O. Gibbs, 26, and Elnora Jane Pickett, 18, married in Washington County on Dec 15, 1932.

Elnora's older sister Annie Stella (Pickett) Spear is buried in Akron, COlorado # 74936932.

Elnora's brother John Raymond Pickett, 22, married Mabel Ruby Nicholson on April 19, 1929 in Washington County, Colorado.

Mabel R. Pickett 1912-2005 is buried in Fort Morgan, Colorado # 70149237.

Her sister Ellen Pickett married George Sterling in Fort Morgan, Colorado on June 20, 1936.
Ellen Gwendolyn Traxler 1916-1999 is buried in Elm Springs, Arkansas # 144902124.
So is another sister Della L. Sawhill 1917-1998 # 166563872. Della had married Ralph Sheats on May 16, 1939 in Washington County, Colorado.


In 1940 Washington County, Harley is 33, Elnora J. 25, with Bobbie E. 6, Harley F. 3, and William L. 1. His mother M. Anna 62, widowed, is with them.

Harley is buried in Washington County, Arkanss 1906-1969 # 141746192, with Elnora 1914-1983.
