"Francois Hilaire Gaudreau (son of Joseph Isaie Gaudreau and Philomène Bessette) was born March 19, 1863 in Mystic, Quebec, Canada (So. East of Montreal), and died April 19, 1957 in Hastings, NE, USA.He married (1) Malvina Plante on September 18, 1881.He married (2) Hannah Farrell LaBrie on May 01, 1930."
He was born January 31, 1884 in Quebec, dying in Hastings, Nebraska February 29, 1952, marrying Macie B. Weeden on May 15, 1907.

Arthur Gaudreault claimed a quarter in section 27 to the
south of Floyd Williams in 1909.
"About 1910, Henry's son, Arthur, moved to a ranch near Farnam, Nebraska. (There is a town of Farnam in Quebec, Canada, near where Henry was born.) A partnership called H. Gaudreault and Son was formed, and Arthur took over the management and care of the Hereford herd.
In the next few years, the operation was greatly expanded in herd numbers and activities. Their goal was to assemble one of the best herds of Anxiety 4th bred Herefords in the United States. In the years from 1912 to 1914, several outstanding auction sales were held on the ranch, and the cattle distributed to many distant places. Their herd had now gained national recognition, but they sought further improvement. "
