In 1920 Stratton, Jessie 38, born in Missouri, and Bessie 36 are living on Kansas Avenue. She was born in Missouri, father in Maryland, mother in Missouri.
Jessie is a real estate agent, which makes the cash claaim of a spouse very plausible.
ANOTHER POSSIBLE
In August 1911, Bessie Brown was one of 44 applicants granted certificates for teaching in Kit arson County. Two of the women were listed as Mrs., which is not proof, but indicates Bessie ws single.
