Charles "Wain" Bills was born Sept 23, 1885 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa to Albert Bills and Samantha "Deckey".

In 1880 Phillips County, Kansas, Albert W. Bills is 333, Samantha C. (Dickey Bils is 32.
Her son Floyd Auchenbaugh 4 born in Kansas is with them, and her daughter B. Johnson 1.

In 1885 Greene County, Iowa, Albert Bills is 38, a plasterer, Samantha 37, both born in Wisconsin. Floyd Johnston is 7, Bessie Johnston 6, and Theo E. Bills 4.

In 1900 Phillips County, Kansas, Albert M. Bills is widowed, a stone mason born Feb 1847 in Wisconsin.

Wayne C. Bills in Osborne County, Kansas in 1910, a grocery merchant 24, married one year to Marie 21 born in Kansas,.

December 1916 Salina, Kansas "Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Bills of Phillipsburg are visiting their son, C. W. Bills.
Rev. James Kerr has come down from Beloit to visit his daughter, Mrs. C. W. Bills.
Mrs. S. G. Hain of Belleville is visiting her brother, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bills."

January 1917 "Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bills have left for a visit with relatives at Concordia, Alton and Phillipsburg.
Rev. James Kerr will go to Beloit today where he will preach tomorrow. "

July 1917 " Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Kerr and son, Dale of Beloilt, Mrs. C. W. Wells of Tipton, Mrs. E. S. Kerr of Aberdeen, Wash., and Mrs. A. P. Brown and son James and daughter, Adeline of Alton spent the Fourth with their parents Rev. and Mrs. James Kerr, and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bills."


In 1920 Salina, Kansas, Charles is a commercial traveler, 34, with Marie 33, living with her parents James Kerr 71 and Louisa A> 59.

In 1940 Manhattan, Kanss, C.W. is 52, with Marie 49, son Robert13 and Richard 11 oughlin.

Charles W. Bills 1885-1971 # 43450893. and Marie (Kerr) Bills 1889-1962 # 43450917 are buried in Beloit, Kansas.


" Services will be Wed. at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home here for Charles W. Bills, 85, Manhattan, Kansas, who died Sat.(May 1, 1971) in a Grant City, Missouri rest home where he had been since Sept., 1970. He was born Sept. 23, 1885 in Iowa and lived at Manhattan many years. He was a salesman before he retired. A son, Bob Coughlin, Albany, MO., survives. Graveside services will be Wed. at Elmwood Cemetery at Beloit."
