ONE POSSIBLE

In 1860 McDonough County, Illinois, Dickson Hall is 34, Elizabeth 28, both born in Kentucky. Martha is 9, Sarah 6 (Jennie married Stephen Young, and Elizabeth is living with them in 1910 Worth County, Missouri ), Mary 4, and William 1, all four born in Illinois.
Annie D. Abel, 18, daughter of Jacob Abel and Priscilla Howland, in Benton County, Iowa in 1890.

Mary Ellen (Hall) Johnson 1857-1938 is buried in McDonough County, Illinois # 112095170.
"Daughter of Dickson S. Hall and Elizabeth Jane Gordon,2/h William White of Kentucky. She married George David Johnson 18 Mar. 1875 Cameron, Warren Co., IL. Book C, pg. 79 They had 7 children. "

Martha Hall married Walter M. Gardner in Warren County Illinois on January 11, 1872.
Martha is widowed in 1900 Warren County, 50, with daughter Effie 18.
She's buried in Cameron, Warren County # 50967591
"Mrs. Martha Gardner of Gerlaw was found dead in her bed the morning of July 12, 1908, by some of her neighbors. It was reported that several times she had threatened to commit suicide, and the coroner's jury called to investigate her death reported that it was caused by the inhalation of chloroform administered to herself. Her maiden name was Hall and she was born near Gerlaw in 1850. In 1872 she married Walter J. Gardner, and to them were born three children, two of whom survived her. Her funeral was held at Gerlaw, the burial in the Mosher Cemetery."

Dixon died in 1862, per one tree, and Elizabeth married William White 1818-1908

Elizabeth J. White, born Feb 28, 1831 in Kentucky, died in Worth County Missouri, on April 13, 1914, to be buried in Toulon, Illinois.

In 1885 Benton County, Iowa, William Hall is farming, 26, with Anna 24, both born in Illinois. They have Alverna 2 born in Benton County.
They're next to Jacob Abel 72 born in New York? New Jersey? and Priscilla 67 born in Canada.
William T. Hall, 28, and Anna Abel 26, both of Illinois, had Della Hall on January 29, 1890 in Benton County, Iowa.
In 1930 Floyd County, Iowa, W. T. is 72, Anna D. 67.

VERNA
Verna, of Elbert County, Colorado, cash-claimed a quarter in section 14, 7S 50W in 1891.
POSSIBLE
Verna Hall married W. L. Campbell on December 12, 1899 in Kossuth County, Iowa.

In 1900 Kossuth County, Wm. T. Hall is is 42, Anna 37, both born in Illinois. Carrie 15, Della 13, Buelah 7, and Ervin 1 were born in Iowa, daughter Verna M. Campbell is 17, born in Iowa.

William L. Campbell 39, born in Canada, is a contractor in 1910 Fort Dodge Iowa, married eleven years (His second marriage) to Alverna 28 Iowa. Lola Bell is 9, Burris H. 7.

In 1920 they're in Ogallala, Nebraska, where William is a carpenter, 49, Alverna 38, Lola 18 and Burris 16.

Alverna M. Campbell 1882-1953 is buried in Kossuth County # 32049552. So is William L. Campbell 1870-1964 # 32049554.

September 15, 1953 "Mrs. Alverna M. Campbell of Omaha, formerly Verna Hall of Titonka, passed away Monday. Funeral services will be Thursday aifternoon at 1:30 at the local Methodist church with Rev. J. E. Albertson in charge. Mrs. Campbell lived in Titonka many years ago.
She has two daughters: Vernice, Mrs. Lester Pickering; and Lela, Mrs. Ben Zahm. Her husband is a Spanish American War veteran and has been in the veterans hospital in Omaha for over four years. Burial will be in the BuPlain Township cemetery. Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Hall who lived in Titonka. Mr. Hall was county supervisor here more than 40 years ago "

February 22, 1965 "William Campbell, 95, long time Titonka area resident, died at Veterans hospital in Des Moines Thursday noon. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 o'clock at Blake's funeral home in Titonka with Rev. E. Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo township cemetery. William Campell, the son of Hannah Featherston and Joseph RcUidle Campell, was born Aug. gj, 1870 at Waterdown, Hamilton county, Canada.
He married Alvern M. Hall in Titonka Dec. 13, 1899. Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. Lela Zahm, and Burnis Pickering, both living in Omaha. He had made his home there until a year ago when he went to Knoxville to the Veterans hospital. "



GEORGE

In 1890 George E. Hall cash-claimed a quarter in 22, 6S 49W.
He could be the George E. Hall in 1900 Lincoln, Nebraska, a real estate manager, born Nov 1846 in Wisconsin, with Nina April 1849 in Ohio. They've been married 14 years. Nina has had five kids, all living. Donald April 1887 and Harry E. May 1888 were born in Nebraska.

Lela B. Campbell, 26, married Benjamin A. Zahn on December 11, 1926 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Benjamin was born about 1899 in Alva, Oklahoma to Henry D. Zahn and Iva Tucker.
Benjamin is a truck driver in 1940 Omaha, 39, with Lela C. 38, William L. 12, Robert H. 9, Bonnie J.7, Donald C. 4, and Margaret 2.

One tree said Benjamin died " May 5, 1968 ( age 67) at Lake Tahoe, California (While on vacation large rock rolled off hillside and struck him while driving the car.)"

March 23 1954 "James Pickering, 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester A. Pickering of Omaha, died early Monday in a hospital after being accidentally shot in the head Sunday by a playmate. Doctors who operated in an attempt to save his life said the '22-caliber bullet pierced the youth's skull above the left ear and plowed through his brain."


ANOTHER POSSIBILITY FOR WILLIAM

William T. Hall timber-claimed a quarter in 22, 6S 49W in 1898. Both William's and George's would be about ten miles from Verna's claim.
In 1907 Bert P. Wells and wife sold some land in 10S 40W, Sherman County, Kansas to William T. Hall.

This William T. Hall was in Carroll County, Missouri in 1880, age 1, with Isaac H. 24 and Martha A. 26.

In 1900 Livingston County, Missouri, Alice is 46, William 21, Charles 19, and Stella M. 17.

William is farming in 1910 Sherman County, Kansas, 31, single, and Martha A. 51 is with him.

In the same cemetery plot as William and Minnie is a Beulah M. Hall, dying at age six months in 1914 - so that could be their child.

William Tracy Hall is a truck driver for the Goodland Equity Exchange when registering for WWI, born November 8, 1878, with wife Minnie.
In 1920 Goodland he drives a fuel delivery truck, 41, with Minnie 47 born in Pennsylvania. Her sons Edward Pyles 23 born in Colorado and William 18 born in Kansas.

MINNIE'S FAMILY

Minnie Nass was in Phillips County, Kansas in 1880, age 7, with A. E. Nass 45 and Eve 29. Lillie J. is 16, Emory C. 8, Minnie 7, Clarence M. 6, Chas A. 5, Clara E. 3, and John W. 1.

Abraham E. Nass 1834-1915 is buried in Goodland, # 52833237, with Eve (Wagoner) Nass 1851-1917 # 52833260.
Minnie was in Itaska precinct, Sherman County in 1900, born October 1872 in Pennsylvania, married to Jasper Pyles, a city drayman, Sept 1857 Pennsylvania. They have Edward March 1896 in Colorado.
Jasper 1857-1907 is buried in Goodland # 91823872.

Edward Eugene Pyles registered for WWII in Goodland, working for the post office, born March 24, 18996 at Peyton, Colorado, married to Cuba.
Edward 1896-1967 is buried in Kalispell, Montana # 17329243, with Cuba Laura (Gattshall) Pyles 1898-1983.)

May 7, 1967 " Edward E. Pyles, 71, died in Kalispell Tuesday. Mr. Pyles was born March 24, 1896 in Peyton, Colo. When he was two moved with his parents to Goodland, Kansas. He was employed as a rural letter carrier in the U. S. Postal Department. He retired Jan. 31, 1958 after 41 years of service with the department. June 20, 1958 Mr. Pyles moved to Kalispell and made his home at J 9 Eighth Ave. W. since. Mr. Pyles was a member of the American Legion of Goodland, Kan., a member of the Taps Club of Goodland and a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association.
Jan. 21, 1922 he was married to Cuba L. Gattshall in Tribune, Kansas, and is survived by his wife at the family home. Mr. Pyles is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. R. A. (Wilma) Stuart of Yakima, Wash.; four sons, Philip N. Pyles of Arvada, Colo.; Edward E. Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.; Bruce E. Pyles of Kalispell; Halcyon J. Pyles of Goodland, Kan.; one brother, William R. Pyles of Goodland and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Pylcs have been set for Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Waggener Campbell Chapel with Rev. H. L. Inabnit, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church of Kalispell, officiating. Interment will follow in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery"

Edward Eugene "Gene" Pyles Jr. passed away peacefully at his home at Brookdale Mariana Butte surrounded by loved ones on February 2, 2017. Gene was born on September 12, 1924 in Goodland, Kansas to Edward E. Pyles Sr. and Cuba Laura Pyles; he was one of five children. He attended school in Goodland graduating in 1943. Shortly after graduating he joined the Army serving in the Tank Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
After completing military service, he returned to Goodland, co-owning a service station before starting his career in the natural gas business. He was stationed in Eads, Holyoke, Limon, Colorado Springs, and Gunnison, working for various natural gas companies as a serviceman, town manager, and distribution manager. In 1948, he married Grace Ruby Luckert, and they spent the next 68 years together. In 1949, they were blessed with a daughter, Deborah Jean.
In 1993, Gene retired from the natural gas business and in 1994, Gene and Grace moved to Loveland where they have resided since. Gene was a member of First United Methodist Church in Loveland and a past member of Golden K, the American Legion, Rotary, Lions Club, and Elks.
Gene was a devoted outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and sharing that passion with friends and family. He was an avid Broncos fan and could not wait for football season to begin each year.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Grace of Loveland; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Donald Grandia of Colorado Springs; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and other family members. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A celebration of Gene's life will take place at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Loveland. "


William Hall is still driving a truck in 1930, age 51, with Minnie 56.
In 1940 he's now married to Elizabeth 68 born in Illinois.

William T. Hall 1878-1953 is buried in Goodland, # 87760796, with Minnie (Pyles) Hall 1872-1930.

His mother Martha Alice (Wells) Hall 1853-1930 is buried in Livingston County, Missouri, dying in Topeka Kansas per # 66147185.
