Leroy claimed two quarters in section 1, 7S 49W in 1913.

In 1920 Yuma, on Weld Avenue, LeRoy is a farm salesman, 37, born in Kansas, Mabel S. 37 Missouri. Albert F. 10, Wilbur W. 7, Alice M. 5, all born in Colorado, and Robert LeRoy 2 born in Montana.

In July 1925 L.R. White was paid $9.50 for juror duty in Yuma County.

September 1925 Yuma "Mr. and Mrs. L. R. White and children left Sunday morning by auto for Fort Collins, where they expect to make their home."

Albert registered for WWII in Grand Junction, born March 2, 1909 at Seibert, Colorado, living with Dorothy and 1525 Grand Avenue.. He was working for School Dist # 1, Mesa County.

"Dorothy Jane White Hampton, a 67-year resident of Palisade, Colorado, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, surrounded by her family at Community Hospital in Grand Junction, after a short illness.
Dorothy was born December 17, 1910, in Longmont, CO, to W. Carey Cook and Ivy Forsyth Cook. She spent her girlhood in Longmont and Fort Collins. After graduating from Fort Collins High School, she attended Greeley Teachers College. She began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse and eventually taught 3rd grade in the Palisade schools for 30 years. She returned to college in 1950, graduating from Western State College in 1952. She married Albert F. (Red) White in 1932 in Longmont. They moved to the Grand Valley in 1936, and operated a peach orchard on First Street, until Red's death in 1954. Dorothy married Kermit M. Hampton, a lifelong resident of Palisade, on October 15, 1955. Kermit died in 1997.
Since his death, Dorothy has resided with her son, John White and his wife, Barbara, in Palisade. Dorothy was a devoted member of the Palisade Methodist Church for 65 years. She also enjoyed being a member of the PEO, The Daughters of The Nile, The Order of the Eastern Star, and the Palisade United Methodist Women's Organization. She traveled extensively with her husband, Kermit, and with her children and grandchildren. Teaching and children were her greatest joy and she was an inspiration to many in the Grand Valley. She loved her country. She embraced life and lived it to its fullest.
Surviving Dorothy are three daughters, Sally and husband, Lee McGrew, of Gold Hill, OR, Marjorie and husband, Fred Smith, of St. Petersburg, FL, and Janice and husband, Jerry Nisbet, of Palisade; two sons, John and wife, Barbara White, of Palisade, and James and wife, Mary Hampton, of Palisade; one sister, Ann Dyson of Grand Junction; two brothers, John Cook of Olympia, WA, and Ray Cook of San Antonio, TX; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchil-dren.
In addition to Red and Kermit; an infant daughter, a brother, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 23rd, at McLean Funeral Home from 2 to 7 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, March 24th, at 10 a.m. at the Palisade Methodist Church with burial following at Ihe Palisade Municipal Cemetery. "

WILBUR

In Yuma, September 1922 Wilbur White was winner of the 50-yard race for boys under 18. The prize was $1 deposit in the Farmers State Bank.

In March 1923 Yuma Colorado, the sixth grade at the West Side Grade School who were neither tardy nor absent included Wilbur White.

January 1925 "Mr. and Mrs. John Lindgren and son Ernest and Wilbur White went up to Denver on the noon train Sunday to attend the Stock Show."

In March 1925 Wilbur White and Clarence Smith of the seventh gradde entertained, including a piano duet "The Cat Came Back"

April 24, 1968 "Wilburt White, a Denver Automobile executive, and a star athlete at Colorado A&M College, now Colorado State University in the 1930's, died at the Lakewood Country Club Tuesday of a heart attack.
Born April 30, 1912, on a farm near Seibert, White attended Fort Collins High School and CSU. In high school he won statewide recognition as an outstanding athlete in football, basketball, and track. He went on to win even greater recognition in college, earning three football letters under the late Coach Harry Hughes. White was referred to as 'Little Red' in deference to an older brother, the late Albert F. White, an all-conference star who was referred to as 'Big Red'. Albert White died in 1954. Playing on the same football team with Marine Gen. Lewis Walt of Fort Collins, White was named All Rocky Mountain Conference halfback in 1933 and 1934. He also earned all-conference honors on the basketball team for two years. Graduating from CSU in 1936 with a degree in economics. White played two years of professional football.
White was a member of the CSU planning committee Gold Club (a CSU booster organization), Sigma Chi Fraternity, and the Lakewood Pinehurst Valley country clubs. He was past president of the Denver Metropolitan Automobile Dealers Association and was president of General Motors Insurance Council and a director of the Lakeside National Bank.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clara May White, a son Mike, and a daughter, Miss Barbara Ann White. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Mabel White of 410 East Oak Street and two brothers, Kenneth of Greeley, and and Robert White with the US Information Service in Afghanistan"

July 1954 "Robert L. White of Fort Collins and Greeley, has been appointed one of three division chiefs for the Information Center Service of the U. S. Information Agency, it was announced today by Congressman William S. Hill of Colorado’s Second District."

January 24, 1972 "Mrs. Marjorie C. White, 54, of 600 Monte Vista Street, died this morning at Poudre Valley Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. White was born April 26, 1917, at Carmi, 111. She was educated in Fort Collins schools and attended Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Her father, Cecil Clippinger, was publisher of the Fort Collins Leader and owned the Colorado Printing Company in Fort Collins prior to his death in 1952. During the war, Mrs. White worked for United Air Lines in Denver as a passenger agent. On April 29, 1944, she was married to Robert White in Fort Collins. She accompanied her husband, who was with the U.S. Information Agency, to Dacca, East Pakistan; Nairobi Kenya and Kabul, Afghanistan. She had taught at No. 10 School, Franklin School and Dunn School in Fort Collins. They returned to Fort Collins more than a year ago to make their home. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta; Fort Collins Chapter No. 26, Order of the Eastern Star; and the Daughters of Union Veterans. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Neva Clippinger of 808 West Mountain Avenue; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Ruth Wentworth of Billings, Mont.; and two nieces, Mrs. Neva Marie (Robert) Lawton of Basalt and Miss Joyce Wentworth of Holly. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Goodrich Chapel with the Rev. Henry H. Baker of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. "

December 1, 1976 " Robert L. White, 59, of 1821 Indian Meadow Lane died at home Monday following a brief illness. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Russell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William Bacon officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1917, in Coffee Creek, Montana. He came to Fort Collins from Yuma in 1923. He married Violette Kepler here in 1973. She survives. White had retired from the U.S. Foreign Service and was a bailiff for the Fort Collins Municipal Court. He was in the R.A.F. and the Foreign Service during World War II. A graduate of the University of Colorado, he belonged to the Elks Lodge and the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Other survivors are two stepsons, Donald Crenshaw of Herndon, Va., and Terry Crenshaw of Fort Collins, and a brother, Kenneth White of Greeley."

KENNETH

Kenneth E. White, in the training program at Colorado College in 1943, married Maurine Jewell.

December 6, 1943 Fort Collins " Correction in the story of the betrothal of Miss Maurine Jewell and Kenneth E. White in yesterday's Express-Courier. Mr. White's name was incorrectly given as L. R. White. Kenneth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. White, who live south of Fort Collins. He is now enrolled in the V-12 training program at Colorado college. Before going to CC, he studied for two years at the University of Colorado. Miss Jewell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Jewell of Denver, is a sophomore this year at CU."
