Terry and Margaret A. Tillotson, 7 South 49 West
TERRY'S FAMILY
Roseburg, Oregon " Mrs. Betsy Mahala Tillotson, 90, resident of
Myrtle Creek community for the past 14 years, died March 30, 1951,
following a short illness. She was born May 21, 18K0, in Wapello county, Iowa,
and was married there on Aug. 26, 1879 to Henry F. Tillotson.
She came to Douglas county in 1931, and had made her home on Boomer hill
near Myrtle Creek. Mr. Tillotson preceded her in death in 1912.
Surviving are four sons, Jason Tillotson, Myrtle Creek,
Ralph T. Melrose, Roseburg: Terry, of Ottumwa, Iowa; and Benjamin, Fowler,
Colo. ; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 4
great-great-grandchildren.
One son and three daughters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held in the Assembly of God church at Myrtle Creek,
with the Rev. Mr. Hadley officiating. Concluding services and interment
followed in the Myrtle Creek I. O. O. F. cemetery."
Ted Tillotson registered for WWI in Seibert, farming, born October 30, 1882, spouse Amelia Margaret Tillotson.
Terry claimed a quarter in section 24, 7S 49W in 1917.
Bennie Franklin was born Feb. 13, 1921 at Cheraw, Colorado. His reference for WWII was his father Ted, both at 341 Quincy in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Des Moines, Iowa " LaVera Rose Nicoletto Tillotson, 92, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013
at Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. Vera made
her home at Luther Park Apartments in Des Moines, IA. She donated her body to
the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. A private family memorial
service will be held at a later date.
Vera was born June 27, 1920 in Monroe
County, IA to Mary and Claudio Nicoletto. In 1938, she married Terry Tillotson,
and to this union seven children were born. For several years she worked at
Dart's Childrens Shop in Des Moines, and at Rabenold's Dress Shop in Montezuma.
She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and Women's Society.
Vera is survived by her children: Terry (Donald) Bozarth, Barry (Janis),
Janice (Tom) Frankum, Bruce (Midge), Ben (Jeneane), Mark, and Garry;
a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Terry; parents;
and eight siblings."
