April 25, 1916 Bedford, Indiana "Mrs. Mary Tabor of North J
street left this morning for Kurtz to attend the funeral of her
aged grandmother, Mrs. Anna Mahurin.
The deceased was 85 years of age and a well known lifetime
pioneer lady, of that section. She had been married three times
during her life, her husbands and seven children by these
marriages having preceded her to the Great Beyond.
She was during her entire life a most exemplary member of
the Christian church, a kind and affectionate wife, mother,
and a true friend to all whom she came in contact with.
Always giving words of cheer from the bright side of the
situation to all who were in distress and grief;
sending a word of cheer and encouragement to those
who were more unfortunate than many of their friends in
their progress through life.
Her death occurred at the home of a son, Peter Wheeler,
at Jasonville, where she was visiting. The
body passed through today over the Southeastern for burial at her
old home this afternoon in the Conner cemetery."
