In 1880 Hancock County, Illinois, Richard Oliver is 46, Elizabeth Oliver 42 Wife, Oscar J. Oliver 19 Son, Sarah A. Oliver 17 Daughter, Mary J. Oliver 16 Daughter, Charles H. Oliver 14 Son, Syrus E. Oliver 12 Son, James A. Oliver 10 Son, Joseph O. Oliver 8 Son, John R. Oliver 6 Son, Effee F. Oliver 4 Daughter, and Theadore E. Oliver 2 Son.

July 24, 1919 Glen ELder, Kansas "Grandma Oliver was numbered among the old residents of this city. She was born September 17, 1840 and was married to Richard Oliver in 1855. In 1861 she moved with her husband to Kansas, and for the past thirty years had made her home in this city.
She was a fine Christian lady who had meny friends, and news of her death came as a shock to all who knew her. She was the mother of fourteen children, nine sons and five daughters. Nine of the children had preceeded her to the great, beyond. In 1886 she became a member of the Christian church and lived a faithful and consistent life. Five sons, namely, Oscar, Cyrus, Charles, John and James, are left with nineteen grand-children and four great grand-children and scores of friends to mourn her death.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Elder Robertson, and interment was made in the cemetery at the west edge of town."

CYRUS AND MINNIE

Glen Elder, Kansas, July 27, 1895 "A quiet and pleasant wedding took place in this city last Sunday at 12 o'clock, when C. E. Oliver and Miss Minnie Sweet, both of this city, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. G. M. Glick tying the nuptual knot. The newly wedded couple have a large circle of friends in this city who wish them happiness and prosperity through life. The wedding ceremony took place at the bride's home iu this city, and only a few relatives and friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver will make their home on the old Donnelly farm west of town."

Cyrus E. Oliver proved up 330 acres in section 32, 6S 48W in 1914.

In 1930 Kit Carson County, Cyrus E. Oliver is farming, 60, Minnie L. Oliver 53 Wife, John L. Oliver 19 Son, Garold P. Oliver 13 Son, and Joe E. Oliver 10 Son.

John might have died, because Fannie is in 1910 Mitchell County married to Charles H. Thompson 35, Fannie Thompson 34 Wife, Aletha Thompson 8 Daughter, Rolland Thompson 6 Son, and Lellah Oliver 10 Step Daughter.


April 1, 1913 "Died, at her late home, March 31 1913, Mrs. Margaret Jane, wife of Martin Marzolf in the 75th year of her age. Margaret J. Waddle was born in Montgomery county, Virginia, June 7, 1838 and in 1847 moved with her parents to Indiana after a short time moving with them again to Chillico-the, Mo. In 1867 she was united to William Goodman and to this union were born three children, two of whom died in childhood. On December 25, 1870 she was married to Martin Marzolf, to whom were born three children. After living on a farm for some years they moved to Cawker in 1904. When at the age of twelve years Mis3 Waddle gave her heart to God and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she was a faithful member for more than 63 vears until her Master called her home. Although in poor health for a number of years it was only recently that she rapidly failed until the death angel came in the evening of the 31st leaving behind her a husband, four children, two brothers and sisters relatives and friends who mourn the loss of a faithful wife, an affectionate mother, a kind friend. The funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. George Mancha ; and in the M. E. church by the pastor G. R. Hall and interment in Prairie View Cemetery. Five children were at home to attend the obsequies: Rev. C. S. Marzolf, Logan, Iowa; Albert Marzolf, Mapleton, Kan. ; Wm. Marzolf, May Okla. ; Mrs. Sarah Dimmick, Linwood, Kans., ana Mrs. Fannie Oliver who has cared for her in her last illness."

"John Leon Oliver, 94, went to be with the Lord May 5, 2005 in Modesto, California. John was born January 22, 1911 in Vona, Colorado to Cyrus Eugene Oliver and Minnie (Sweet) Oliver, one of 14 children. John attended school in a one-room school house north of Vona, CO. and graduated from the 8th grade. At this time he went to work on the farm. On November 13, 1933 he married Geneva Alice Crum after the death of her first husband. They were blessed with 9 children: Betty, Donna, Maxine, Colleen, Annabelle, Bill, Geraldine, and Sheila. John was a farmer most of his life and hired out to anyone that needed help. He loved the outdoors, playing baseball, playing music and singing with his brothers. When he left the farm he moved to Denver, CO where he maintained his own apartment. When he could no longer care for himself he moved to Modesto, CA to live with his oldest daughter Betty until the Lord called him home.
He loved playing with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Valley Fourth Memorial Church in Spokane, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, nine sisters, one still born son, two grandsons: Matthew Corcoran and Bobby Hawley and two great granddaughters; Chasni Schneider and Christine Garza. John is survived by his daughters Betty Jones of Modesto, CA, Donna (Clarence) Atkinson of Hominy, IK, Maxine Corcoran of Limon, CO, Colleen (Ira) Cooper of Coaldale, CO, Annabelle Koenig of Colorado Springs, CO, Geraldine (Gene) Preston of Tribune, KS, Sheila Deucker of Colorado Springs, CO, one son Bill (Judy) Oliver of Spokane, WA, one brother Joe Oliver of Gooding, ID, forty four grandchildren, twenty-six great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services for John were held May 14, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church in Seibert, CO. Burial followed at the Seibert Cemetery in Seibert,:
