In 1910 Kit Carson County, Axel Blom is farming, 40, Christina Blom 35 Wife, Gertrude E. Blom 9 Daughter, May C. Blom 7 Daughter, all born in Sweden, Florence E. Blom 5 Daughter born in Massachusetts, and Clarence Blom 2 Son born in Kansas.

Florence E. Soderblom Blom, born February 1, 1905 Blackstone, Worcester, Massachusetts, to Axel Blom, a bootmaker, and Christina Bergquist.

Axel claimed two quarters in section 6, 7S 49W in 1913.

In October 1912 he applied for naturalization in Burlington, saying he lived 13 miles north of Seibert, born March 29, 1870 at Gefle, Sweden. He said he arrived in New York on February 14, 1903, declaring his intent to naturalize in 1906 in Atwood, Kansas. He said his wife was Kristina Bergguest Blom, born in Munbrud, Varmland. Gertrude was born March 14, 1901, Mari October 28, 1902 in Sweden, Clarence September 2, 1907 in Kansas, and Roy October 3, 1911 in COlorado.

Pensacola, Florida, November 12, 1996 "Mary Ruby Blom, 86, of Pensacola, died Sunday, November 10, 1996. Mrs. Blom, widow of the late Clarence Evert Blom, was a former resident of California, and a resident of Pensacola for the last 38 years. She was retired from Rohr Aircraft Company, and was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church in Beltview. Survivors include two sisters, Alma Ward and Pauline Stevens; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in Barrancas National Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas O'Flaherty officiating. "

ALICE

Modesto, California, January 15, 2003 " Alice Lillian Blom Davison, 88, of Modesto, died Thursday at Evergreen Rehabilitation Care Center. Mrs. Davison was a native of Seibert, Colo. She had lived in Modesto since 1946. She was a homemaker. She was a member of North Modesto Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Rolley 'Ed' Davison of Modesto, children Fred McGovney, and David Furtado, both of Modesto, Jean Turner of Chico, and Gail McCowan of Vallejo, sisters Elsie Dean of Antioch, and Dorothy Cleer of Las Vegas, and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Forrest McGovney and Steven Furtado, and two brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be at 11 am Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park."

David "Spud" Furtado, 64 of Shingletown, born May 23, 1950, passed away on September 11, 2014 at home. He is survived by his wife, Deborah, sons Eric Furtado of Florida and Kevin Furtado of Modesto, daughter Laura (Dave) Russell of Cottonwood, 4 grandchildren, brother Fred McGovney of Modesto and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John E. Furtado and Alice Davison, brother "Frosty" and sister Jean Turner. He was born and raised in Modesto, California and moved to Shasta County in 2005 to live among the pines. He worked at many of the local machine shops in Modesto and lastly at Amtex in Manteca until he opened his own shop in 2000. He was a friend to many and always willing to help on a project. He was previously was a member of SCCA and the San Joaquin Jeepers for many years and currently the Redding British Car Club as well as the Morgan Sports Car Club of Northern California..

ELSIE

April 6, 1936 Nevada, Missouri " Miss Elsie Mildred Blom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Blom of this city, was married to Mr. Hillary George Dean of Milo, Friday evening. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. M. M. Wolff, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, at the parsonage. The bride was attended by her twin sister, Miss Alice Lillian Blom, while Mr. J. R. McGiboney served as best man."

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Leveque of Modesto, sisters Alice Davison of Modesto, May Washburn of San Leandro, Elsie Dean of Pittsburg, and Dorothy Cleer of San Diego, a brother, Clarence Blom of Florida and one grandchild."

"PATTI SUE GORDON JAN 30, 1943 - MAR 20, 2010.
Patti died peacefully in her home with family and her son holding her hand. She was born to Robert and Beulah Banghart Collier at Fort Madison, Iowa, and resided in Stanislaus County all her life. She was a graduate of Modesto High School and was a homemaker and worked as a CMA earlier in life. Patti enjoyed extensive travel, camping, decorating and tending her flowers. Entertaining her friends with parties and spending time with family was something all looked forward to, especially the tribe of girlfriends. She was known as 'the skydiving granny'.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Joe of the home. Sons Michael Nielson of Phoenix, Az, Craig Nielson of Roseville, Ca, Scott Naylor of Ceres, Ca. Brother Jack Collier of Grants Pass, Or. and a Sister Barbara Leveque of Ceres Ca., and three grandchildren. Services will be private."
