Harrison Pierce, 7 South 48 West
Harrison William Pierce was born in Abington, Massachusetts
on July 24, 1869 to William and Hannah Pierce. William was a blacksmith,
born in Beverly, Massachusetts, Hannah in Canada.
In 1900 Plymouth County, Massachusetts,
Harry F. is farming, living alone, on the same page as
a blacksmith William Pierce July 1839 born in Massachusetts
and Hanna October 1843 Canada.
Harrison Pierce and Grace Clarkson, both of Seibert, married in Kit Carson County on October 26, 1908.
In 1910, Harrison is farming in Vona precinct,
40, born in Masschusetts, married one year to Grace.
She is 25, with Lorence S. 3 born in Texas and William nine months born in Colorado.
Harrison W. Pierce proved up two quarters in 27, 7S 48W in 1913.
In 1920 they're in Craig County, Oklahoma, farming. Harrison is 50
born in Massachusetts, Grace 33 in Texas, Samuel 13, William 10,
Lester 8, and Franklin 5 in Colorado.
"Harris" is a blacksmith in 1925 Moran, Allen County, Kansas, 55, living with the Charles and Lizzie Larson farmily of Iowa.
May 7, 1925 Iola, Kansas "Mr. Harry Pierce,
who makes his home with the C. G. Larson family,
received word early this week of the death of his aged
father at his home near Boston, Mass. The deceased had
been a member of the Masonic ... fifty-five years and
had always been prominent in all local affairs of his
community. Death came at the age of eighty-three
and was due to the infirmities of increasing years.
Mr. Pierce has the sympathy of his friends here in his
bereavement."
William is buried in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Abington, Massachusetts, dying 1925 at age 85.
Hannah is also buried there, dying June 25, 1933 at age 89.
In 1930 Moran, Kansas, Harry is a blacksmith, living alone, 60, divorced.
October 1931 "Harry Pierce, who spent last week at Gentry, Ark., returned Saturday. "
November 1931 "Harry Pierce is in Elsmore this week,
looking after business interests for Moody Ralston."
November 1932 Iola "Harry Pierce will attend the K. U. -
Notre Dame football game at Lawrence Saturday as a most
interested spectator. A son of Mr. Pierce has been a
member of the Notre Dame team the past three years."
Harrison bought a lot in Moran, Kansas from
Dessie M. Rumbel, widow of William J. Rumbel in 1936.
In 1940 Allen County, Kansas, Harrison is 70, divorced, a popcorn vendor, living alone.
1941 "Harry Pierce who has operated the popcorn
stand at the Ralston theater has sold out to Ray Miner
who is remodeling the place and will continue to serve
the public. Mr. Pierce has moved to Iola, and is
staying with Mr. and Mrs. William Robertson."
June 24, 1941 Iola "Harry Pierce, who operated the
pop corn and peanut stand at the Ralston theatre,
for a number of years, died Sunday at the home of
Will Robinson in Iola. Mr. Pierce had been cared for by
the Robinsons since he became ill about a year ago.
He was 71 years old and leaves three sons in Texas.
Short services were held Monday afternoon at the
Ralston funeral home with the Rev. A. J. Hall in charge.
His body was sent to Rockland, Mass., his birthplace,
for burial." He's buried in the same cemetery in Abington, South Division area, Lot 417.
February 3, 1953 Iola, Kansas "The out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral
of Frank L. Pierce last week were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pierce,
Mrs. Francis Pierce. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pierce, and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Pierce of Neodesha.
Tom Pierce of Derby. Toddie Pierce and Mrs. Lilly Wininger of Sycamore, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Biggs of Chanute. Mr. and Mrs. Andrews and daughter of Benedict, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pierce and Mr. and Mrs. Arch Burns of Independence, Glen Bond, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bond and son of Turner. Sgt. Robert Bond. Camp Crowder, Mo., Clarence Bond, Palouse, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Casey Bond, Parsons, Mrs. Vivian Wiedmer of Salina, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Dannels and Mrs. Mary Ann Smith, and .Albert Dannels of Altoona. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shepard of Colony."
April 5, 1976 Iola "Beulah May Pierce, 74, 723 East
Jackson, died yesterday, April 4.
Mrs. Pierce had been in declining health the past
three years. She was born May 1,1901,
at Joplin and was married to Frank L. Pierce
in May of 1919 at Fredonia. They moved to lola
from Bartlesville 35 years ago.
Mr. Pierce died January 23. 1953.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Clara Dannels, Iola;
two brothers, Ray Bond and Casey Bond,
both of Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death
by two brothers, Clarence Bond and Bob Bond, and a sister, Evelyn Bond, Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Friskel-Kinser Chapel. The Rev. Robert A. Mayes will officiate. Burial will be' in Highland Cemetery."
GRACE
1957 Paris, Texas "Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Presley
in Austin were his parents Mr. and Mrs. Onos Presley,
James Presley and George H. Presley and family."
1967 Whitewright, Texas "Mrs. J. R. Presley and Mrs June Cordin and children of Howe visited Mrs. Joe Ayecock Sunday. "
Grace 1887-1984 is buried in Sherman, Texas # 54701929,
with spouse James R. Presley 1875-1956.
WILLIAM
November 1932 Iola Kansas "Harry Pierce will attend the K. U. -
Notre Dame football game at Lawrence Saturday as a most
interested spectator. A son of Mr. Pierce has been a
member of the Notre Dame team the past three years."
William C. Pierce was co-publisher of the 1932 football review magazine.
Bill Pierce 5'8", 180 pounds, was one of four
right guards on the 1930, 1931 and 1932 teams.
1933 Abilene "Bill Pierce, guard on Notre Dame's
football team for the past three seasons,
will assist Jack Chevigny,
recently selected as head coach at St. Edward's college at
Austin, Tex.
Pierce said he would leave this week and that
he planned to continue his studies at St. Edward's."
OCTOBER 9, 1934 " Notre Dame continues to lead all schools in turning out successful football coaches. In the big turnover during last winter, eleven 1 schools hired Notre Dame men as gridiron mentors.

1936 Buda, Texas "An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a car near here tonight.
A state department of public safety report listed Bill Pierce coach at St. Edwards university, Austin,
as the driver of the car. The accident was described as unavoidable."
In 1940 William is a football coach at St. Edwards University
in Austin, Texas, 31, with Regina 23 born in Texas (in Beaumont in 1935) and Billy two months old.
1947 Sherman, Texas "Bill Pierce, head coach
of Stephen F. Austin College last season, has
been named athletic director at Austin College,
Dr. W. B. Guerrant, president, announced Saturday.
Pierce, 37, will sign a two-year contract Monday when he assumes his duties, and will begin spring football Tuesday. "
1947 "The resignation of Bill Pierce as head football coach at Stephen F. Austin State College
was announced today by President Paul L. Boynton. Boynton said the resignation ol the former Notre Dame grid star will be effective Feb. 1,
and that efforts will be made to name a successor this week.
Pierce coached previously at Austin College and St. Edwards University.
He joined the Lumberjacks in February. The football squad last season won only one game in ten starts."
William Clarkson Pierce was born September 9, 1909 in Colorado,
dying in Victoria, Texas September 8, 1981.
He was an engineer, with surviving wife Regina Hollas Pierce,
to be buried in Edna, Texas # 51449846.
Regina, born August 26, 1916 in Falls County,
Texas to Frank and Anna Hollas, died March 29, 2009.
Her children were Mary Jean Gardener, William Jr., and James Pierce.
She's buried in Edna with William.
When John R. Gardner died in 1992, the Galveston Texas newspaper reported
"Mr. John R. Gardner, Sr. passed from this life Saturday evening at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston,
while in his 56th year. Born August 9th, 1935 in San Pedro, Ca., Mr. Gardner had been a resident
of Dickinson since 1990, previously of Jamaica Beach. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Galveston,
Mr. Gardner was employed as the Fire Marshall, Code Enforcement Officer and Arson Investigator for the
City of Dickinson. His career in law enforcement spanned 35 years, which included 12 years spent
as the Police Chief of Jamaica Beach. He was a Certified Forensic Hypnotist and a Professional
Stage Hypnotist, a member of International Associations of Chiefs of Police,
State Arson Investigators Association and the International Association of Certified Hypnotists.
He was a former member of the Galveston County Sheriffs office and had attended Galveston Community
College and Texas A&M. He was preceded in death by his parents, Travier and Laverne Gardner and his
brother Allen Gardner.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jeanne Gardner of Dickinson;
sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Alicia Gardner, Jr., Fort McClellan, Alabama,
Thomas L. and Betty Gardner, Dickinson; daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie Corcoran,
Galveston, Debbie Gardner, Woodinville, Washington, Cindy and John Cappodona, Galveston,
Vicki and Darrell Isaacks, Jamaica Beach, Tracie E. Gardner, Dickinson and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's The Apostle Catholic Church in Galveston, Reverend Paul Chovanec, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery."

In 1933 Lester H. Pierce (Dorothy) is a mechanic, living at 510 E. Valentine in Tyler, Texas.
Lester, born February 22, 1911,
died in Tyler, Texas March 18, 1973.
The informant was Mrs. Dorothy Pierce.
He was a plant manager for Sledge Mfg. Co. He was to be buried in Tyler Memorial Park.

In 1940 Frank is still in Sherman, an auto mechanic, 25, married to Faye 25
born in Texas. They have Frank Jr. 7, Pansy 5, and Jack W. 3.
Frank Grover Pierce was born April 21, 1914 to "Harry" Pierce and Grace Clarkston, dying in Dallas, Texas on
October 25, 1979, a civil service employee. He was to be buried in Cedarlawn, Sherman, Texas.

"June Pierce was born on July 5, 1934, in Dorchester, Texas, to Frank Grover Pierce and Faye Verna (Roberts) Pierce and passed from this life on Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 79. June grew up and attended Sherman schools, graduating in 1952. After graduation, she attended Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas, and then returned to Sherman. She married James Terry Corbin and together they had two children, Tod Corbin and Caroline Corbin Hughes. June later married Leonard G. Collinsworth and he preceded her in death. "
Survivors included Jack Pierce and wife, Pat, of Sherman, Texas.
