EVAN
In 1870 Missouri, Evan Griffith is 45, Ann 39, both born in Wales, Wiliam 7 and Elizabeth 4 in Ohio, David 1 in Missouri./
In 1880 Macon County, Missouri, Evan Griffith is farming,
55, with Anna 49, both born in Wales, William 16 and
Elizabeth 14 in Ohio, and David 11 in Missouri.
Evan is still in Macon County in 1900, widowed, born Nov 1835 in Wales,
living with son William and his family.
Evan proved up a quarter in section 25, 7S 46W in 1911. That's very near the homestead of John E. Griffith in section 24 in 1893. (wonder if they listed the Welsh first name of Evan as the Anglized JOHN.)
David E. Griffiths was the administrator of his estate.

1928 "Mr. and Mrs. Jim Morgan of Colorado visited in the
W. E. Griffith home first of the week. (wonder if this is the James R. Morgan who claimed two quarters in section 12, 11S 48W, Kit Carson County in 1912) "
1929 Macon, Missouri "Miss Thelma Griffith of
Kansas City, Mo., is visiting her father, D. E. Griffith
and uncle, W. E. Griffith and Mrs. Griffith."
1936 "W. E. Griffith visited with his brother,
Dave Griffith of New Cambria.")
JOHN
John P. Evans, with an address of Idalia, Colorado, and Elizabeth M. Griffiths of Macon County, Missouri,
married at the home of W.E. Griffiths in Ethel, Macon County,on December 22, 1893.
John P. Evans timber-claimed a quarter in 24, 7S 46W
in 1896.
John P. Evans was a stockman in 1900 Kit Carson County,
born Nov 1862 in Wales, married seven years to Elizabeth Aug 1866 Ohio.
Anne L. Oct 1894 in Missouri, Mary E. Aug 1897 and a daughter May 1900 were born in Colorado.
In 1910 Kit Carson County, Anna was said to be born in Mississippi,
16, Mary 12, Alice 9, and Grace 2.
J.P. Evans was secretary of School District # 28, Stratton, Colorado, in 1911.
In 1920 Kit Carson County, John is farming, 57,
immigrating in 1878,
naturalized in 1883. Elizabeth is 52, Anne L. 25, Mary E. 20,
Margaret A. 18, and Grace 12, all four born in Colorado.
The 1922 atlas has "Evans, J. P., Farmer, Stockraiser and Breeder of Registered Duroc Jersey Hogs, S. 13, T. 7, R. 46, P. O. Stratton. Mr. Evans was born in Iowa in 1862, settled in the County in 1886, and married Elizabeth Griffith. They have five children. Mr. Evans has served as President of the Stratton Equity Exchange Company."
John P. Evans 1861-1924 is buried in Burlington # 89177150.
In 1930 Stratton, Colorado, Elizabeth is 64, Mary E. 32 and Grace E. 22.
Elizabeth M. Evans 1865-1938 is buried in Burlington # 89177071.

Anne Evans graduated from the Burlington high school in June 1910.
Anne L. Evans proved up
two quarters in section 12,
7S 46W in 1919.
MARGARET ALICE
In 1940 Denver, Margaret Groff is 34, Mary E. Evans, sister, 39.
Both are stenographers. Margaret was in Crawford, Nebraska in 1935, Mary in Stratton, Colorado.
MARY
GRACE
Grace E. Evans and Willard W. Weybright married in Kit Carson County on Neov 29, 1935.
In 1940 Topeka, Kansas, Grace, 39, born in Colorado - in Stratton in 1935, is married to Willard Weybright 33 born iN Kansas - in Topeka in 1935. He's a gasoline salesman.
Grace 1907-1992 is buried in Liberal, Kansas # 10697150.
" Grace W. 84, died June 12, 1992, at the Glenn Ayr Care...
She was born Nov. 25, 1907, at Kit Carson, Colorado,
the daughter of John and Elizabeth Griffith.
She worked at the First National Bank and was an officer in Hood Oil Co.
She graduated from Stratton High School and Grand Island Business College,
Grand Island, Neb. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church,
an elder in the church and a member of the Women's ...
On Nov. 30, 1935, she married W.W. Weybright. He survives.
Other survivors four ?? and three ???.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian
with the Rev. Norman Austin. Burial will be in the Liberal cemetery."
She shares a tombstone with Willard William Weybright
1906-2003 # 10697161.
"W.W. "Bill" Weybright, 96, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at Exempla Colorado Lutheran Home, Arvada, Colo.
He was born Oct. 9, 1906, to Amos R. and Emma E. Weybright in Douglas County.
He married Grace Evans in 1935, in Stratton, Colo. She died June 12, 1992.
He moved to Liberal in 1946 from Kansas City, Mo. He owned and operated the Southwest Block and Aggregate Company in Liberal for many years. He later bought the Gulf Oil bulk service in Liberal. He also bought sevice stations in Liberal, Hugoton, Syracuse, Tyrone, Okla. and Guymon Okla. He retired in 1980.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Liberal.
He is survived by one son, Douglas Weybright and wife, Mona, Arvada, Colo.; one sister, Mildred Allison, Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Liberal with the Rev. Stephen Saville presiding.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery.
