Robert D. Roberts, Jennie E. (Jones) Roberts, 7 South 45 West

Robert David Roberts and Jane Jones had William Arthur Roberts on March 28, 1878 in Columbus City, Louisa County, Iowa.

In 1880 Louisa County, Robert Roberts is farming, 32, Jane 33, Jennie 13, John 10, Hugh 8, and William 2.

Robert claimed a quarter in section 7, 7S 45W in 1891.
So did Jennie E. Roberts.

In 1900 El Paso County, Robert Roberts is farming, born March 1851, married 34 years to Jennie August 1845, both born in Wales. William A. March 1878, Edward Feb 1881, and Robert March 1885 were born in Iowa, Pearl June 1889 in COlorado.
Robert and Jenie both immigrated in 1876.
Jennie has had eight children, six living.

Robert 63, Jane 64, and Robert C. 24 are farming in Larimer County in 1910.

WILLIAM

William A. Roberts is farming in 1910 in Larimer County, 32, married to May J. 29, with Bertha P. 8 and Dora Manora Roberts, 3.

William is a carpenter in Lovell, Wyoming in 1920, 41, with Nettie D. 36 and Robert C. 34.
May is divorced, living in Loveland, Colorado with Bertha 18 and Dora 13. She's next to Robert Roberts 82, widowed.


PEARL

Pearl E. Roberts and Floyd H. Herman married in Denver on September 15, 1909.
Pearl, born June 3, 1889 in Colorado, father Roberts, mother Jones, died in Los Angeles County on May 19, 1981.

One tree said "Pearl Effie Roberts was born June 3, 1889 at Tuttle, Colorado."

Pearl Roberts, daughter of Edward Roberts and Grace Forgey, married Charles N. Chambers on October 2, 1943 in Russell, Alabama.

"Francis Robert Herman ("Herm") was born in Denver, Colo., on Aug. 28, 1920 to Floyd Wilbur and Pearl Effie Herman. He was preceded in death by his sister Florence and is survived by his sister Virginia, and her husband Glenn Bergevin.
Francis served in Europe during World War II with the U.S. Army 44th Infantry Division. In 1945, after his honorable discharge, he married Helen Irene Gould. They had two children, Diane Lynn (Canfield) of Shelton, Washington, and Jonathan Christopher (aka, John Robert) of Gates, Oregon. Diane has three children: Mona Lynne, Darren Ray and Alisa Marie. Mona has a son, Brandon Levi. Jonathan has 2 daughters: Darcy Jane (Attebery) and Rita Christine.
After the war, Francis began a rewarding career as a research forester with the U.S. Forest Service. His work took him to Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and finally to the great state of Alaska. He lived in Fairbanks for more than 30 years with his second wife, Myreda, who died in 2001.
Francis had extended family he loved very much, as well as many dear friends, both old and new. A generous man, he donated to many charitable organizations on a regular basis. He loved the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was an active member throughout his life. He was an avid reader, especially of Egyptian history. He loved music of all kinds and played the clarinet. He was a great storyteller who could recount his life experiences in a way that was engaging and often humorous. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved all of God's creation, especially wild wolves. He loved German Shepherd dogs and had seven during his lifetime; you can be sure he would say, "this one may be the smartest one yet." In 1941, while hiking with a friend, they discovered a complete 13-15 foot Plesiosaurus (marine lizard) fossil in Owl Canyon near Fort Collins, Colo. The specimen is located at the Denver Museum of Natural History. He was often heard to remark "Tally ho, the fox."
Due to declining health he moved to Gates in the summer 2008 to live with his son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Judith Xandra. He passed away surrounded by loving family on May 31, 2009, at the age of 88. "

EDWARD

Ed Roberts is farming in El Paso County in 1910, 28, born in Wisconsin, married to Grace 22, with Lurene J. 5, Hugh C. 2, and Pearl E. three months, all four born in Colorado.

Grace Forgey was in El Paso County in 1900, born Feb 1888, daughter o Charles Forgey 45 born in Indiana and Ida 32 born in Pennsylvania.
Charles Forgey is buried in El Paso County 1854-1941 # 25251233, with Ida E. 1868-1938 # 25251239.

They're farming in Cobb County, Georgia in 1920, Edward 38 born in IOwa, Grace 31, Lorine 14, Hugh 12, Pearl 10 and Mable 6. All kids were born in Colorado.

Grace 1888-1955 is buried in Bryant, Jackson County, Alabama # 132627353, with Edward 1882-1960 # 132627338.
Billie Carl Roberts wAs born Oct 14, 1929 in Cobb County to Edward Roberts and Grace Forgy, dying Feb 13, 2000.
