In 1912, witnesses for the claim of Manzel Baeria for
land in 27, 7S 45W were August Adolf, William G. Davis,
Fred Stutz, and Martin Weiss, all of Bethune, Colorado.
William claimed a quarter in section 26, 7S 45W in 1912.

William G. Davis, 41, married Margaret Davis, 40, in Grand Junction, Colorado on January 17, 1914.

William G. Davis, born in Bourbon, Indiana, and Alice Shanks, born in Chesterton, Indiana, had Jane Davis on January 12, 1886 in Omaha, Nebraska. Jane, 60, died in Chicago on OCtober 12, 1946, wife of George A. Burget, to be buried in Mt. Greenwood, Cook County, Illinois.

July 2, 1914 Wray "Sheriff Chas. Bullard left Monday
morning for Seattle, Washington, to bring back
William G. Davis on a warrant which charges him with
swindling a couple of the banks at Yuma and E. H. Vaughn
of Wray by perpretrating a number of acts of 'high finance'
in the way of mortgaging
property not his own, etc. Complaint was filed against
Davis more than a week ago and the Burns Detective Agency
put on his trail. Sheriff Bullard received word Sunday
that Davis had been apprehended in Seattle."
