In 1893 Joseph F. Wright of Colorado Springs filed a patent for an insulator for electrical wires.
In 1900 Colorado Springs, Joseph F. Wright is a carriage painter, born June 1847 in Pennsylvania, , in a small lodging house.

ANOTHER POSSIBLE
In 1880 Denver Joseph Wright, 24, born in Missouri, is a servant - along with twenty others - at the Windsor Hotel. His wife is 19, no first name - born in Missouri.



Thomas M. Wright timber-claimed a quarter in 35, 8S 43W in 1895 - that would be another three miles away from Joseph's claim.

This might be the Thomas M. Wright in Pittsburg, Kansas in 1930, widowed 67 born in Indiana, a grocer.

Thomas Maxfield Wright born 1856 married Lida Putt, per one history. His father was Thomas Jefferson Wright 1825-1888 who first married Susan DemeritMaxfield in 1853. She died 1856.

In 1880 Fillmore County, Nebraska, Thomas works on the railroad, 23, one of a dozen boarding with the Maxwell family.
In 1900 Thomas M. Wright is a grain dealer in Fillmore County, Nebraska, born August 1856 in Illinois, married 15 years to Lida Dec 1895 Michigan. They had Bessie Sept 1888 in Nebraska.
He operates a grain elevator in 1920 there, with only Lida and Bessie

Putt, dau. of William and Harriet (Brewer), b. at North Port, Mich., 20 Aug. 1856, by whom he has issue.* Thomas Jefferson Wright mar. (2) Mrs. Anne (Losee) Monerief, by whom he had further issue: Mrs. Rhoda (Wright) Calbraith, Mrs. Clara (Wright) Rhodes, and Mrs. Eliza E. (Wright) Walters.
Thomas Maxfield Wright lived with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oren Maxfield, until February, 1874. when he removed to Fairmont, Nebraska, with his uncle, George Clark Maxfield. From 1881 to 1923 he was associated with the grain business of Fairmont. He sold his business to the Farmers Co-op Association and retired to the business of real estate and insurance. He is a member of Hesperian Lodge. No"

His father Thomas Jefferson Wright 1820-1888 is buried in Stark County, Illinois # 64452806, with his two wives, Susan and then Anne 1823-1905.
Anne Wright was in Pottawattamie County, Iowa in 1900, 77, with daughter Elizabeth Walters, 35, married to Charles E. 35 and has a son Ralph W. Walters 10.


ANOTHER THOMAS - but doesn't look like there's a Joseph in this family alive in 1895.
August 13, 1926 Kiowa County Colorado:
"It was in Kentucky—a state forever dear to Mrs. Macy Wright—that she was born in December 1814. By the time Macy had reached the tender age of seven she was left an orphan, and though she was adopted, her life began as a continuous round of hard work. Her schooling was thus hampered but what she lacked in learning she readily made up in her tireless industry.
Her childhood home near Bradsfordville, Kentucky, was early moved to Carroll County, Missouri, near Bosworth. It was there she met and married Frederick Knester whose native home was in Germany. Three children augmented the family circle, and two still survive their deceased mother. From the shock and privations of the Civil war Mrs. Wright never completely recovered. Never again was she same in body or in spirit, and, to add to the toll of the war her husband was killed by an outlaw band in Carroll County. Thus her home, happily established for only eleven years was broken.
In 1879 Mrs. Wright married Mr. Joseph Wright and until his death in 1880 (those are the newspaper dates - probably the marriage was 1869) remained in Missouri. Five children, all surviving, came into their home and of these Thomas Wright of Bosworth, Missouri is the oldest. Next in order of age come Mrs. Arch Weininger, Mrs. W. S. McCracken and Alfred Wright, all of Eads, Colorado, while the youngest is Edward Wright of Kansas City.
It was in 1915 that Mrs. Wright came to Colorado with the three youngest children and took up a homestead. The surviving members of the family like to recall their mother's ceaseless energy and tireless industry which even age could not thwart." "

In 1870 Carroll County, Missouri, Joseph Wright is 35, Macy 26, Elizabeth 10, Mary 8, and Thomas two months.

Alfred Wright was born Sept 25, 1875 in Carroll County, Missouri to Joe Wight and Macy Hamlott.
In 1880 Carroll County, Missouri, Masy Wright is widowed, 30, Mollie 18, Thomas 10, James 7, Marsha 6, Alfred 3, and Edward 2.

In 1900 Carroll County, Macey born Dec 1841 in Kentucky, farming, has had eight kids, seven living. Thomas April 1872, Jennie July 1873, Alfred Spet 1876, and Edward April 1880 were all born in Missouri.
In 1910 Kingman County, Kansas, Macy is 60, with Jennie 36, Mattie 35, and Alfred 34.

In 1920 Kiowa County, Colorado, Alferd is 32, "Marie" 75, and Mattie 42.

Martha Wright married William S. McCracken August 2, 1922, recorded in Kiowa County.

Martha is in Kiowa County in 1930, 55, married to William McCracken 62. She was first married at 48, he at 23.
Martha 1874-1958 # 41420387 and Wiliam Sherman McCracken 1867-1939 are buried in Eads.

Jennie is in Larimer County, Colorado in 1930, 55, married to Arch W. Weininger 41, a farm laborer.
They're in Larimer County in 1940.

Jennie Weininger 1872-1942 is buried in Eads - same cemetery as her mother - # 41420396.
Arch W. 1886-1982 is buried in Kingman County, Kansas, # 18558518.



As you can see from these many Wright possibilities, we have no indication of the origin and fates of the Kit Carson County ones !
