"Sarah Ann Stewart was born in Indiana on March 27, 1847. She was married on May 13, 1867, to Joseph C. Pulliam, who died in 1876. To them three children were born, Frank, who died several years ago, Mrs. Ida Shrader, of Oklahoma, and Earnest Pulliam, of Pueblo, Colo.
She was again married in Marion county, Iowa on March 11, 1877, to John F. McCullough, who survives her. They were the parents of four children, Mrs. Mary Avitt and Mrs. Millie Sanders, of Chariton, Mrs. Bertie Ramsey, of Melrose and Chester McCullough, of Des Moines, all of whom are living.
Mrs. McCullough also mothered five children of Mr. McCullough's by a former marriage and cared for them as tenderly as she did her own. They are Ed and Elmer McCullough and Mrs. Ida Lack, of this city, Mrs. Sarah Clark, of Melcher, and James McCullough, of Canada. "
