Flora Turnbull, born Feb 1862 in Indiana, is widowed in 1900 Jewell County, Kansas. She's had five kids, all living. Ella April 1893, Minnie J. Jan 1895, Feddie A. June 1897, Freda M. June 1897, Nina B. March 1900 wee all born in Kansas. Step-daughter Rend D. was born March 1886 in Iowa.

In 1905 Jewell County, Flora is 39, Ella 11, Minnie 10, Fred and Freda 7.

In 1910 Stratton precinct, Kit Carson County, Flora V. is farming, 45, with minnie 15, Freddia A. and Freda M. both 12.

Flora W. Turnbull proved up a quarter in 23, 10S 47W in 1911 - twenty-five miles southwest of John's claim.

In 1920 Kit Carson County, Flora is 54, no occupation with Freddie and Freda both 21.

In 1930 Flora is back in Jewell County, 65, with Fred A. and Freda 32, no occupation for any.

Ella Vina (Turnbull) Leavitt 1893-1960 is buried in Jewell County, Kansas # 135294854, with William E. Leavitt 1882-1971. Both died in Missouri. She was born at Salem Kansas to Thomas BUrnbull and Flora Lamb.

Freda is still single in 1940 Jewell County, aunt of Lawrence 30 and Eva 25 Sanders and their children.
Freda 1898-1963 is buried in Jewell County, # 41615499.

Eva Sanders was the daughter of William and Ella Leavitt. They were in Kit Carson County in 1920. William is a laborer, 37, Ella 26, Alfred 11, Gladys 9, and Leave, Eva 5 born in Kansas, Violet 2 was born in Colorado.

Eva Laurene Sanders was born July 15, 1914, to William and Ella (Trunbull) Leavitt, at Salem, Kansas, died July 16, 2011, at the Sunset Home, Concordia, Kansas, at the age of 97 years.

She attended school at Stratton, Colorado; Colby, Kansas; and North Platte, Nebraska. Eva was a graduate of Draughon Business College at Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Eva was baptized into the Lutheran Church and later transferred membership to the Christian Church. She was united in marriage to Lawrence R. Sanders on November 23, 1932 at Smith Center, Kansas. To this union two children were born, Gerald and Gaye.

Eva operated a grocery store in Ionia, and during World War II, she operated a café in Ionia, and was so proud to serve meals to the German prisoners. After they moved to Mankato, Kansas, Eva went to work for United States Department of Agriculture, U.S.D.A., until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on May 31, 2001; her parents; three sisters; four brothers; son-in-law, Flash Newlin; and a grandson, Martin.
