The departed had been in ill health for more than a year with a chronic trouble and was unable to withstand the severe attack of the other malady. Mrs. Thomas is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Smith and has lived in this neighborhood since early childhood, and was held in high esteem by all those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed from the family circle and the many friends join with the bereaved relatives in mourning her departure.
