POSSIBLY
In 1871 Penmachno, Denbighshire, Wales, John Richard is 56, Mary 52, Lewis C. 18, Owne 16, John 10, and Hugh D. 8.

In 1871, John Richards is 64, Mary 62, Owen 24, John 20, and Hugh D. 18, all born there.
John Richards, 22, married Elizabeth Davies, 22, in Swansea, St. James. Glamorganshire, Wales on November 29, 1874.

In 1881, John is 30, a slater and plasterer, married to Elizabeth Richards, 29.

Hugh claimed a quarter in 19, 7S 43W, and John D. one in 15, both in April 1895.

John might be the one farming in 1900 Idalia, Colorado, born August 1851, married eleven years to Elizabeth April 1862, both born in Wales. He immigrated in 1885, she in 1889.

John and Elizabeth are alone in 1910 and 1920 Yuma County.

John died October 8, 1923, and is buried in Burlington, # 89643772, as is Elizabeth W. Richards 1862-1939 # 89643551.

There's a Hugh Richards, dying 1917, with no tombstone, buried in Montrose, Colorado, per # 100077638 - which would be a reason, if it's John's brother - that he's not mentioned in John's obituary.
