Albert cash-claimed a quarter in 12, 7S 43W in 1893. He had a record of a homestead application in that township, but it wasn't completed.

He's listed in the Denver directory of 1893, a laborer at the Argo Smelter, living in Argo. Mrs. Annie M. Hunzinger is also living in Argo.

Albert Joseph Hunzinger, 37, born in Germany to John Hunzinger and Anna Dubbs, married Josephine Mary Blume, 21 in Des Moines County, Iowa, on September 27th, 1900.

In 1910 Des Moines County, Iowa, Albert J. is farming, 47, born in France and immigrating in 1893, married nine years to Josephine 29 Iowa, with Teresa 8, John A. 7, and Hary H. all born in Iowa.
In 1920 Des Moines County, A. J. 56 born in Alsace-Lorraine, Josepheine 39, Teresa 18, John A. 17, Harry H. 14.

In 1925 Des Moines County, Albert is 61, Josephine 44, with Teresta 23. On the same page is W.m. H. 80 and Emma F. Blume 74.

FindaGrave # 131637439 says Teresa Ann Hunzinger died June 8, 1901 and is buried in Burlington, Iowa...

Those dates might be in error - one obituary says:

Teresa Anna Hunzinger, 100, of Mount Pleasant, (formerly of Burlington, Washington, Iowa, and Fairfield) died at 10:55 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2001, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born July 8, 1901, in Augusta, she was the daughter of Albert John and Josephine Mary Blume Hunzinger. Miss Hunzinger was a homemaker. She was a member of Sts. Mary & Patrick Catholic Church, Legion of Mary and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Friends may call after noon today in Lunning Chapel. There will be no family visitation.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Miss Hunzinger will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for her church.



Albert 1863-1938 is buried in Burlington, Iowa # 131637465. So is Josephine M. 1880-1971 # 131637452.

John A. Hunzinger, per # 79659883, is buried in New London, Iowa - Burge Cemetery - 1902-1982.

Harry H. Hunzinger 1905-1983 is buried in Belle Plaine, Benton County, Iowa # 70842661, with Rotha E. 1917-1997.
