THE DEATH OF MRS. WILHELMINA WAGNER
Mrs. Wagner died soon after the noon hour on Friday, March 10th, inst. She had completed her 70th year on February 26th last, having survived her husband, Mr. Jacob Wagner, ten years. Grandma Wagner as she was familiarly known, lived the quiet unobtrusive Christian life, devoted to the happiness of her family, her grandchildren, and all who were dear to her by the ties of close friendship. When in her usual health, she was bright in social intercourse, joined heartily in the social gatherings of her friends, and in their excursions.
Her vacant chair will awaken sad reflectons, withal many cheerful memories of happy days, which will return no more. "Her children will rise up and call" her blessed;" their names follow here: Mrs. David Small of Jewell county; Mrs. Henry Rieff of Wa-Keeney; Mrs. William Bellman, of this city; and Miss Freda, at home, this city; and her three sons: Frederick J., William and Jacob. The funeral services were held at .the Lutheran Church, conducted by the pastor; the floral tributes were lavish and beautiful, contributed Ty the Normal Faculty, the High School teaching staff, and other close friends many of them of twenty years standing. For these and for the kind offices of all who gave generous and needful ministrations at the home, the heartfelt thanks of the family are extended."
