1917 Phillips County, Kansas :
J.T. DuMars came to the county (Phillips, Kansas) in 1877 and homesteaded in Plum township. He is the father of five children, Charles, born in 1882, now the manager of the Agra Lumber Co; William, born in 1884, now farming in Kit Carson county, Colorado; Roy, born in 1886, a painter and resides at Columbus, Kansas; Ella, born in 1878, now married to James Slack who is in the contracting business in Utah; and Jessie, born in 1880, now married to Carl Eversoll who farms in Phillips county. Mr. DuMars is at present living at Nevada, Missouri. His wife died in 1909.
John Dumars 28 and Mary Ann 23 are in Phillips County, Kansas in 1880, with Ella Jane 2.
In 1885 Phillips County, J. R, 32 is a carpenter, Anna 29, with Ella 7, Jessie 5, Charles 3, and Willie eleven months.

In 1900 Phillips County, Kansas, William, born April 1884 in Kansas, is living with his sister Jessie M. Eversol - Jessie was born July 1881 in Kansas, her husband Earl is 19.
William's parents are also in Phillips County in 1900, John April 1852 and Annie Jan 1858, both Wisconsin, have Charlie C. Mar 1882 and Roy E. June 1886, both Kansas.
Annie DuMars 1858-1909 is buried in West Cedar Cemetery, Phillips County # 71239744.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, William Du Mar is 26, born in Kansas, living alone.

William proved up a quarter in 14, 7S 42W in 1911. William W. DuMars, a private from Kanorado, enlisted in the Marines May 23, 1917, killed in action June 6, 1918.
