Air Force Communications Service. He previously served at
Kadena AB, Okinawa, serving with the 4th Infantry Division near
Pleiku, Vietnam. He is a communications specialist in Headquarters
and Service Battery, 4th Battalion of the division’s 42nd Artillery."
Claude P. Whitcomb, son of Mrs. Ursula Whitcomb 4110 Spokane,
and a nursing major, graduated from Dallas Baptist College in May 1973.

"The First United Methodist Church in Irving, Texas was the setting
for the Saturday afternoon wedding uniting Miss Jacqueline Love Bertschy
and Dale Cade Butler of Grand Prairie. The Rev. Earl Harvey of the First
United Methodist Church in Irving officiated at the ceremony.
Serving as maid of honor was Miss Carlette Holmstrom of
Georgetown, Texas. Bridesmaids were Miss Christine Blair of
Irving, Texas, the bride's sister; Miss JoAnn Jackson of Fort Worth;
and Miss Susan Wray of Arlington. Miss Shannon Storms of Houston, Texas,
was junior bridesmaid. Flower girls were Miss Collyne Storms
of Houston, Texas and Miss Karen Whitcomb of Irving.
Attending his brother as best man was Gary Butler of Houston, Texas.
Groomsmen included Dean Butler, brother of the bridegroom
of Grand Prairie, Charles Gimarc of Dallas, Stan Willbanks
of Irving and Warren Blair, Jr., brother of the bride,
serving as junior groomsman. Ushers for the service were
Andrew Havel of Grand Prairie and Paul Santillan of Irving.
Ronald Whitcomb of Irving was candlelighter. The new Mrs. Butler
is a graduate of MacArthur High School in Irving.
She is also a graduate of Texas A&M University holding a
degree in microbiology. She is the daughter of Rex Bertschy of
Arkansas and Mrs. Warren D. Blair of Irving.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Butler,
2338 Robinhood. He is a graduate of MacArthur High School
and attends Texas A&M University."
