Harold J. and Stella T. (Gardner) Jenkins , 6 South 50 West


HAROLD'S FAMILY
In 1885 Dixon County, Nebraska, Harold and Harry Jenkins are one, , sons of Hiram 44 and Mary 39 Jenkins, farming. Bertie is 18, Clifford 15, Richard 13, Mary 11, and Charles 8.

In 1900 Antelope County, Nebraska, Harold J. and Harry G. are both 15, with Hiram and Mary L.

In 1910 "Herman" 69 and Mary L. 64 are in Denver, living with daughter Alberta E. Kuehl 43 and her husband Edmond H. 41.

Hiram 1840-1917 # 19140354 and Mary L. 1845-1921 # 19140369 are buried in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Harry G. Jenkins was in Denver in 1920, married, and in Derby Colorado in 1942, born July 21, 1884 at Waterbury, Nebraska.

STELLA'S FAMILY

In 1885 Knox County, Nebraska, Turner Gardner is 50, Adelina 36, with Cornin 20, Annie 17, Charlotte 10, Olive 4, Emma 2, and Ada 1.

Robert 1835-1913 is buried in Knox County # 58208359, with Addelaid 1849-1922 # 92545976.

Addelaid E. Stanton was born in Pennsylvania March 14, 1894. At two years of age she with her parents, her brothers and sisters moved to Michigan near the city of Battle Creek. She grew to womanhood in this community and on December 10, 1872 she was married to Turner Gardner, who preceded her in death by nine years, having passed away October 27, 1913.
There were born to Mr. and Mrs. Gardner seven children, all of whom survive the mother; Mrs. R.S. Gibson of St. Paul, Nebr.; Mrs. T.S. Shrik of Niami, New Mexico; Mrs. H. J. Jenkins of Flagler, Colo.; Ray A. Gardner of New York City; Mrs. Ada Urwin and Mrs. F.A. Adamson of Creighton. There is also a stepdaughter, Mrs. Anna Tatro of Castalice, Iowa. A stepson, Corwin T. Gardner died in 1912. She has several grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends, who will miss her from Grandma's Corner.
Mrs. Gardner was a true mother and a friend as well, always ready to extend a helping hand to the needy, while busy with the cares of her own family.
She was a member of the Methodist church, retaining the Christian faith to the last moments of her life. After an illness of many weeks, her soul went out to the great Redeemer on the morning of July 17, 1922 at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 3 days.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Creighton at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 1922, conducted by Rev. Farner, the pastor.
Burial was in Greenwood cemetery beside the husband. We extend condolence to the bereaved.


HAROLD AND STELLA IN COLORADO

Harold J. Jenkins, 21, son of H.H. Jenkins and Mary Coatig, married Stella Gardner, 19, daughter of Lamar Gardner and Addelaide Stanton, married in Antelope County on March 5, 1906.
Both resided in Brunswick, Nebraska.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, Harold 25 and Stella 23 are farming. She's had one child, not living.

Stella is teaching in school district # 40, Seibert, with another teacher Mrs. J.B. Hatcher.

She was still teaching there in February 1912.

Harold claimed two quarters in 27, 6S 50W in 1915.

In 1920 Spokane, Washington, Harold is 35, working in composite manufacture (maybe plywood?).
Stella is 35, born in Nebraska, with Lilla H. 5 in Colorado and Myrle L. 1 in Washington.

They're back in Kit Carson County in 1930, farming, Harold 45, Stella 43, Lila H. 16, Myrle L. 12, and Maxine 5 born in Colorado.

In 1940 Kit Carson County, still farming, Harold 55 and Stella 53 have only Maxine 15.

Harold James Jenkins, born July 21, 1884 in Nebraska, mother Coates, died Novembeeer 7, 1955 in Los Angeles County.

Stella T. Jenkins, born Nov 20, 1886 in Nebraska, died February 7, 1973 in Los Angeles County.

He might be in Grand View Memorial Park, Glendale, California # 47536368, with Stella Teressa Jenkins # 47536382.

LILLA

Lila Haroldine Jenkins married William Milton 'Duke' Nodacker on October 18, 1838 in Seattle, Wshington.

1940 Fairbanks "Milton W. Nodacker has filed on 160 acres at the end of the Lazelle Road, five miles in a northeasterly direction from Fairbanks. Mr. Nodacker, who is married, has been working at the Cleary Hill mine. "

1941 Fairbanks "An Electra which took off for the United States and Juneau today carried as passengers Freeman Milton Nodacker, Mrs. Lila Nodacker."

Milton William, born at Holton Kansas on August 6, 1910, was in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1941, with the air base at Ladd Field. His wife was Lila Jenkins Nodacker.

1951 Fairbanks " Clad in a pale green organdy frock. winsome five-year-old Lillian Nodacker reigned last night before a capacity crowd as Queen of the May during the initial performance of the colorful Maypole dance, an annual Spring Program of the Fairbanks grade school."

They had Glenn Parkhurst Nodacker 1956-1966.

Colonel Milton Nodacker, CAP, was Idaho Wing Commander from 1992 to 1996.

Lilla, per one tree, died December 4, 1973 in San Diego County.

William 1911-1994 died in Buhl, Idaho, children Milton, Lillian Arnold.
M. Lynn Dunlap, attorney of Twin Falls, Idaho, was appointed personal representative to administer his estate.



MYRLE

Myrle Lois Jenkins, name Adams in 1942, and Kappmeyer in 1967, , was born January 26, 1918 in Garfield Washington, dying October 19, 2004.

She's buried in Riverside County, # 100404867, with Richard Kappmeyer 1907-2002.

MAXINE

Maxine Vesta Jenkins was born August 25, 1924 at Flagler, name Thompson in 1962, Mclean in 1962, and Thompson in 1978.

She died October 5, 2001 in Reno, Nevada, and is buried in Flagler # 6422531.

HAROLD'S SIBLINGS

Clifford E. Jenkins, born Jan 28, 1870 in Iowa, died Sept 26, 1940 in Los Angeles County.
He was farming in Riverside County, California in 1910, 40, with Mary P. 37, Jeanette I. 13, George H. 12, Alberta 10, Vernon 7, Elizabeth 2,a nd CLifford 1.
He was in Glendale, California in 1930, 60, with Mary P. 58, Elizabeth R. 22, Clifford C. 21, and Lawrence C. 18.


Richard Warder Jenkins, Harold's brother, is buried in Corona, California 1872-1948 # 88804617. He had been in California for many years.
He's on the stone with Alta (Benedict) Jenkins 1877-1969 # 88801595.
