George W. and Hannah Jane (Reynolds) Dowty, 7 South 50 West
George W. Dowty married Hannah J. Reynolds on Dec 5, 1878 in Effingham County, Illinois.
In 1880 Effingham County, George W. "Dourty" is 26, born in Indiana, Hanah J. 20 in Illiois, with newborn Lucy B.
In 1885 Cherokee County, Kansas, George is 31, Hannah J. 27, with Robert J. 2.
In 1900 Wilson County Kansas, George 46 and Jane 41 Dowty are farming. John is 17, Cynthia 13, Pearl 11, "Linus" 7,
Charles 3, and Kittie eleven months.
In 1910 Decatur County, Kansas, George W. and Jane have John, Lena, Charly V. and Kittie M.
One tree said George died September 12, 1914 in Kit Carson County.
September 24, 1914 "Following a quarrel with his father,
John Dowty, a ranch hand, shot and killed his parent
and then gave himself up to the authorities at Colorado Springs."
George and Hannah are buried in the Flagler cemetery.

It said Hannah Jane Dowty died March 20, 1927 in Colorado.
That might be the Hannah J. Dowty that # 26934880 has buried in Flagler, with the tombstone marker (a late one) has dying in 1917.

farming in Decatur County, Kansas. Charles is 35, born in Kansas,
Cynthia D. 23 born in Texas??. Russell L. is one month old.
CHARLES
Charles Vern Dowty registered for WWI in Flagler, born July 12, 1896 in McCune, Kansas with his mother, Mrs. Jan Dowty of Flager, as reference.
Charles, 33, born in Wilson County, Kansas, and Maud Young 37 born in Marshall County, Indiana, had Verne Edward dowty on September 18, 1928 in Marshall Coumty.
Charles died in November 1979, last residence Denver.
Maude (Young) Dowty 1890-1968, per # 125576737 is buried in Denver, marrying Charles Dowty in 1924.

Miss Sarah J. Rodin and John Dowty were united in marriage
Wednesday, April 19th, 1905, at the home of the bride;s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Rodin. D. W. Jackson, Justice of the Peace, performed the ceremony.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Dowty, who live south of town. He is an industrious, worthy young man. The bride has grown to womanhood in Longton and has many friends to wish them a happy and prosperous voyage through life.
The young couple left in the afternoon for Fredonia, where they will make their home.----Longton Gleaner.

John R. Dowty is farming in Kit Carson County in 1910, single, 26, born in Kansas.
John proved up two quarters in 34, 6S 50W in 1914.
In 1920 John is a real estate agent in Denver, single, living in a boarding house.
August 25, 1925 Joplin, Missouri "A motor car driven by Arthur Youse and
containing also two young women, Alta Dowty and Evadean Foster of dalona,
collided with a motor car, two and one-half miles west of Baxter Springs on the
Chetopa road last night. The car driven by Youse was turned over, injuring three
of the occupants. Youse was uninjured. Miss Evadean Foster was taken to the
Baxter Springs hospital last night. She is suffering from a cut on the foot and
bruises about the face. Miss Dowty was bruised about the temple and
Claude Elliott received a bruised right shoulder and leg.
All were brought to the hospital by a passing motorist.
The name of the driver of the other car is unknown, according to Youse,
who said he was blinded by his lights. Youse was going west on the Chetopa road
and the other car was going east. "

1929 Joplin, Missouri "Sept. 25. Alta A, Hindman has filed suit in the Galena
division-of district court asking for a divorce from Paul R. Hindman,
charging extreme cruelty and gross neglect of duty. She asks that her maiden name,
Alta A. Dowty, be restored;. They were married here October 30, 1927."
John R. "Dawty" married Emma J. Johnson on June 10, 1920, recorded in Arapahoe County.
In 1928 John R. (Emma) Dowty are on Route 1 in Boulder County.
In 1930 Boulder County, John R is 47, trucking, with Emma 40 born in Iowa.
He's in Boulder when registering for WWII,
born January 30, 1883, with a wife as reference.
In 1943, he and Emma are in Boulder, where he's in the trucking business.
He died in Contra Costa County, California October 29, 1952, mother Reynolds.
Emma Josephine Dowty, born Oct 18, 1889 in Iowa, died in Alameda County Sept 28, 1956.
LENNA
Willard C. Peterson claimed a quarter in 35, 6S 50W in 1916.
Lenna Anne (Dowty) Peterson married Willard
Claus Peterson 1887-1945, and had Harold LeRoy Peterson
on August 16, 1917 in Flagler.
Lenna died March 27, 1923 in Decatur County, and is buried there, # 60423884.
KITTIE
In 1910 Decatur County, George "Dorrity" and Jane A. are 52, John R. 27, Lena 17, Charley V. 13, and Kittle M. 10.
Monroe Gustin and Kitty M. Dowty, both of Flagler, married November 9, 1916 in Kit Carson County.
In 1920 Kit Carson County, Montie Gustin is farming, 32, born in Iowa, Kitty 20 Kansas. Beulah M. 2 and Oscar eleven months were born in Colorado.
In 1930, still farming in Kit Carson County, Monroe is 43, Kittie 30, Beulah 12, Oscar 11, Marjorie 9, Isaac M. 7, Ellen A. 5, and edward L. 4.
In 1940 they have Beulah 22 no occupation Thomas 21 farming,
Marjorie 19, Isaac 17, Ellen 15, Lucille 8, and Richard L. 7.
F. Monroe Gustin 1886-1968 is buried in Flagler # 24557476.
Kitty Maude (Dowty) (Gustin) Highland 1899-1987 is buried in Colorado Springs # 50650046, with Dean E. Highland 1896-1976.
Oscar Thomas Gustin 1919-2008 is buried iN Flagler.
Beulah Martha Gustin 1917-1993 is buried in Colorado Springs.
Isaac M. Gustin was born Nov 1, 1922, dying October 14, 2011. FindaGrave # 120129284 has no burial location.
Ellen Adaline Gustin was born in Flagler Feb 11, 1926,
dying August 22, 2006, buried in Carroll County, Arkansas with husband Harold L. Sherratt 1927-1987.
Richard is buried in Fort Logan, and FindaGrave says his wife Katherine (Flin) Gustin 1938-1956 is buried iN Denver # 97294834.
Richard Monroe Gustin, a long time resident of Colorado Springs
passed away Monday July 30th, 2007 in Denver Colorado after a long
battle with cancer. He is survived by his daughter Debra K. Gustin of
Camas WA. His son Lonnie B Gustin of Colorado Springs.
Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He is also survived by two brothers, Oscar Gustin of Flagler and
Isaac Gustin of Wheatridge CO and one sister, Lucille Guthrie of Hawaii.
Lucille Evelyn Gustin, born January 26, 1932, married Raymond Webb Guthrie, born March 26, 1931 in Flagler. WItnesses were ralph M. Guthrie and Viola Wright.
