John G. Colliflower , 6 South 50 West
" William Colliflower married Eliza Pennel. William and Eliza migrated to Shelby County, Missouri.
Sedalia, Missouri "A good building for preservation
is located at East Fifth and Marvin on the southwest corner. This
building was the work of John T. Colaflower, one of Sedalia's early
architects."
John T.'s father was Samuel Colaflower, born in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1820. He was employed as a brick contractor, moving to Rock Island, Illinois in the 1850's and then to Molie, where he built the first plow works for John Deere.
Samuel moved to Iowa, building the court house at Fremont County, then to Council Bluffs, then Nebraska City, then in 1866 to Kansas City.
Hemoved to Joplin in 1874, then to Pueblo Colorado, then to Sedalia in 1880, dying in 1888.
In 1880 Shelby County, Missouri, John is 14, born in Missouri,
living with James M. and Fannie Arnett, both 24.
Fannie said her parents were both born in Maryland,
but her death certifiate says they were John Baker
and Margaret Bradley - so she's not a sister, apparently.
1894 Shelbina Missouri "Miss Elmyra Evans left last Saturday for St. Louis where she will spend the summer with her sister, Mrs. John Colliflower"
1898 Shelbyville, Missouri "Mrs. Arthur Colliflower of St. Louis is visiting John Colliflower and wife uear this city. "
In 1900 Shelby County, John G. is farming, born November 1865 in Missouri,
parents born in Maryland. He's married eleven years to Mary born Dec 1871 in MIssouri. She's had two kids, one living. That's John W. Dec 1895 in Missouri.

Mary Lenora Colliflower 1871-1906 is buried in Shelby County # 104784975,
with Hattie F. # 178177704.
"wife of John Colliflower, will take place at the M. E. Church, South, in Shelbyville, Mo., on Tuesday, March 6, 1906, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Thompson Penn, and assisted by Revs. J. J. Reed and J. H. Wood."

married three years (his second) to Ruth 30, and Arthur B. 1, all three born in Missouri.
John W. is living with grandparents John N. and Mary S. Evans in 1910 Shelby County. Bessie F. Evans is 27.
May 1910 Shelbyville "John W. Colliflower left last Monday for
his home at Freemont, Colo., where his father moved last fall.
John will spend northwest of that city. "

left Tuesday for her home in Flagler, Colo.,
after a visit with relatives near Bethel."

of Shelbyville, attended the funeral of
Wm. Colliflower yesterday in Hannibal."
William Arthur Colliflower, born March 13, 1836 in Maryland to John Colliflower and Mary A. West, died in 1912 in Hannibal Missouri, to be buried in Mt. Olivet.
John claimed a tract in section 2, 6S 50W in 1914.
In 1920 J.G. and "Dee" are farming in Mesa County, Colorado, with Benton 11.
J.G. Colliflower had an inheritance tax case in Mesa County on January 29, 1923.
Dee Colliflower married Charles Ellis on May 27, 1922 in Mesa County,.
July 15, 1929 Aspen, Colorado "Benton Calliflower of Ft. Collins has
accepted a position at the Midnight mine."
Benton A. Colliflower and Lois Beeson Colliflower divorced in Mesa Coutn in 1930.
Benton Colliflower is single in 1930 Fort Collins, living alone, no occupation.
Arthur Benton Colliflower, 27, born in Shelbyville, Missouri, residing in Keosauqua, Iowa, son of John G. Colliflower and Rutha Dee Moore, married Agnes Marie Gill on January 13, 1935 in Bloomfield, Iowa.
In 1940 Cooper County, Missouri, Benton is 31, married to Agnes 24, both born in Missouri. His mother Artha Dee Ellis 60 is with them.
Arthur B. Colliflower 1908-1971 is buried in Fort Logan # 21283115.
So is Agnes 1913-1987 # 3341418.
John P. Colaflower, Jr. and Anna Poureia, both of Sedalia, married there on June 12, 1915.
John Colaflower is in Denison County, Texas in 1920, 27,
with Anna 23, Jack V. 2 and Bonnie Marie newborn, all four born in MIssouri.
They're in Kansas City, Missouri in 1930, John P. 36, Anna E. 35, Jack V. 12, and Bonnie M. 11.
Jack V. Colaflower married Ruth Norene Snavely on Sept 4, 1937 in Sedalia, Missouri.
Jack V. Colaflower, divorced,
born July 7, 1917 at Sedalia, Missouri,
was separated from military service at Camp Beale, California on December 18, 1945.

Jack V. Colaflower, 2701 Rincon, in the Air Force for three years.
Colaflower, with four years previous service, spent over two years
in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre with the E84th Quartermaster Laundry Company.
He will take advantage of educational opportunities and plans to become a cook while in the Air Force
Jack, divorced, son of John Payton Colaflower and Anna Elizabeth Mulvaney,
died at the air force base in Laredo, Texas April 27, 1954. - to be removed to Corpus Christi.

"Jack Victor Colaflower, 36, will be held at 3 p. m. tomorrow at
the Dunne Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park.
Colaflower died Tuesday at 6:45 p. m. following a short illness at
Laredo Air Force Base, where he was stationed. A military funeral will
be held by personnel from Foster Field ....in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Norene (Snavely) Norman 1915-2006 is buried in Sedalia, Missouri # 143414050.
Bonnie Colaflower married Max Martin in Jackson County, Missouri on July7, 1934.
October 6, 1944 Sedalia "John Trump Colaflower 2321 East 4 o'clock
son of Frances passed away. He was born at Collinsville Illinois April 19, 1876 to ?? Colaflower of HagerstonMaryland and Rebeca Trump of Maryland. married in November
1915 to Miss Tyrie Rose. He was a member of the First Baptist church.
Mr. Colaflower was employed in the machine department at the Missouri Pacific
shops. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Tyrie Colaflower,
who was with him at the time of his death. A sister, Mrs. Mamie Gentry,
of Dresden, Mo. Two brothers, Charles C. Colaflower of Sedalia,
and John P. Colaflower of Corpus Christi, Tex., also survive him.
Charles Colaflower was at his bedside at his passing.
One sister, Mrs. J. J. Murrell passed away in 1936.
He is also survived by seven nieces and two nephews.
One nephew, Jack Colaflower is in the armed forces overseas.

John Peyton Colaflower 1894-1957 is buried in Corpus Christi # 145762633.
His death certificate says his parents were John Colaflower and Frances Mitchell.
Willie Francis Colaflower born March 29, 1858, died in Pettis County March 22, 1937, to be buried in Crown Hill.
She was the daughter to William Mitchel of Ohio and Mary Cramer of Ohio.

at Rest Haven Nursing Home,
where she had been convalescing from a stroke.
She was born in St Louis. Aug 28. 1895, the daughter of the late
?essie Ehman Rose and Fred Rose.
She came to Sedalia at the age of 15 and made her home
with her uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs I? A Rose. 1400 East 14th Street.
She was married to Roy Colaflower on Nov 25, 1915.
He preceded her in death in October, 1944.
Mrs Colaflower was employed as a laboratory and dental assistant
to Dr B E. Broaddus for 35 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sedalia and had been
active in Sunday school and church circle work. She is
survived by an uncle, Walter Ehman. Warrenton. Mo., two aunts,
Mrs Ollie Edmiston. St Louis, and Mrs. Della Rose. 1400 East 14th,
seven cousins Miss Pearl Rose. John Rose. Mrs Hazel Royce and
Mrs Bertha Welch, all members of the Rose family.
Oscar D Rose, Charleston Heights, S. C., Mrs Adele Patrick,
Memphis, Tenn., and William F. Rose, Milwaukee. Wis.,
other Sedalia relatives include Mr and Mrs. Charles Colaflower
and Mr. and Mrs. Art Lipscomb Also surviving is a close friend,
Miss Denny Welch, of the home address, who had made her home with Mrs. Colaflower for the past 28 years Funeral services will be held at the .McLaughlin Funeral Home with the Rev. J. R. Wallace, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery"
