Nathan W. Willard, 10 South 43 West
Nathan cash-claimed a quarter in 7, 10S 43W in 1891.
In 1870 Lee County, Illinois, Lawrence E. Willard is 60, Anna 57, Fanny 17, Alicce 15, Nathan 14, John 12, George 11, Ida 9, William and Charles both 7, and Sena E. 4.
In 1880 Lee County, Nathan W. is 22, farming with his parents. Willaim R. is 16, Lena 14, and Fanny 27. Lawrenc's nephew Charles A. 16, granddaughter Charlotte McIntyre 3, and nephew Valentine Willard 37 are with them.
He might be the farmer in 1900 Lee County, Illinois, born June 1856, married 17 years to Alvena Sept 1859, both born in Illinois. Olive is 16, Ralph 13,and Pearl 3, all born in Illinois.
He's buried in Lee County, dying in Smithton Missouri in 1934 # 121288414. Alvena (Keister) Willard 1859-1940 is also buried in Lee County.
January 20, 1934 Dixon, Illinois "The funeral of Nathan W. Willard, former Lee county farmer,
whose death at Smithton, Mo,, Wednesday was chronicled in last evening’s Telegraph,
will be held at the Staples chapel on Galena avenue Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock,
Dr. Gilbert Stansell, pastor of the First M. E. church, officiating and with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
The body of Mr. Willard, who will be remembered by many residents of the community,
will arrive in Dixon this evening. He passed away at his farm home two miles north of Smithton
after an illness of many months. He was born four miles northeast of Dixon, June 3, 1858,
the son of Lawrence and Marie Willard. He grew to manhood in this vicinity
and was married Feb. 22, 1083 to Alvena Keister of Nelson, who, with three children, survive him:
(Olive Gennett of Spencer, Wisconsin; Ralph A, of Emporia, and Pearl ; Ferguson of Aurora, Illinois.
He is also survived by eight grand children, one great grand child; two brothers,
and one sister, Mrs. Ida Lothian of Kansas City, William of Galveston, Tex. and George of
Illinois; and numerous nephews and nieces."
November 22, 1940 Sedalia, Missouri "Mrs. Alvena Willard, aged 81, who was for twenty-eight years
a resident of Sedalia and Smithton communities, died at her home in Dixon, I11inois, October 29,
friends have learned. She was the widow of the late Nathan W. Willard, who died six years ago.
Mrs. Willard was buried in the family lot at Oakwood cemetery."
GEORGE
George is farming in 1900 Livingston County, Missouri, 40, with Ella 33. Kids 13 to newborn were botn in Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri.
George P. Willard 1859-1938 is buried in Bloomington, Illinois, # 9757298, with Nancy Scott Phillipa 1893-1987.
"George Joseph Leffelman came to Lee County, IL about 1877 with his family. He married Lucretia Wolford in Hagerstown, MD in 1862. With this union they had twelve children. Margaret who married George Willard"
February 26, 1931 Dixon, Illinois "Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Willard and children spent Tuesday in Mendota attending the golden wedding anniversary of his folks Mr. and Mrs. George Willard. About 90 were there consisting of relatives and friends"

William R. Willard is in Galveston, Texas in 1910, 46,
a cigar store proprietor, ,married seven years to Esther S. 44.
March 21, 1892 Dixon Illinois "We again find it our sad duty to record the death of one who had become en deared to a circle of friends, and leaves a husband and family to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Rufus Forsyth died at her home on Boyd St. in North Dixon, where she had lived more than a
quarter of a century, Saturday night at eleven o clock. She had been ill for some time,
therefore death was not unexpected. Mary A. Mudge was born in Green Springs, Ohio, April 28, 1842,
and would have been fifty years old next month. At her Ohio home she was married to Rufus Forsyth
in 1865 and they came to Dixon that year. Deceased leaves two brothers,
J. C. Mudge, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and S. R. Mudge, of St Joseph, Missouri;
the latter will attend the funeral here to morrow. There were seven children born to
Mr. and Mrs. Forsyth, five of whom are liviug: Esther A., Francis, Rufus Jr., Mahlon Raymond, and Mary Chapman.
Deceased belonged to the Methodist church and Rev Earngey will officiate at the funeral services
to be held at half past two tomorrow afternoon at the house."
Jeremiah C. Mudge 1828-1917 is buried in Rockford, Illinois, # 145866415. "Death came at the age of 90 years and followed an extended illness, due to complications, induced by his advanced age. Mr. Mudge was formerly chaplain of the (????) order in Fort Wayne, and was a business associate of Contractor Levi Griffith, having been engaged in contracting business in Fort Wayne for a period of eighteen years. "
Smith Richard Mudge probate records are in St. Joseph, Missouri - will dated August 1893.
His son Frank Forsyth Mudge, daughter Addie Smith Toror, grandson Richard Mudge,
wife was Ellen Barbary Mudge.
May 5, 1897 "S. R. Mudge. traveling engineer for the Hannibal & St Joseph railroad and ono of the best known railroad men in this section, died last nicht at Brookfield. Mo. Mr. Mudge was assisting at an initiation in an I. O. O. F. lodge when he suddenly exclaimed: "Doctor, I'm dying." and expired at once. Mr. Mudge was 63 years of age and had been with the Burlington company for many years. "

Frank Forsyth Mudge 1852-1927 is buried in Carrizozo, New Mexico # 40680045.

Esther A. Forsyth Willard, born in Dixon Illinois January 28, 1866 to Francis Forsyth and Mary Mudge, died October 18, 1936 in Galveston, to be buried in Galveston Memorial Park.
William Richard Willard 1863-1945 # 122873754, born September 21, 1866 in Lee County, Illinois to Lawrence W. Willard of Fredericksburg, Maryland and Ann Maria Boyles to Philadelphia, and Esther A. 1866-1936 are buried in Galveston
August 23, 1910 Dixon, Illinois "Rufus Forsyth, father of M. R. Forsyth, died at 1 o’clock
this morning at his home in North Dixon after a lingering illness. He was one of the early settlers
of Dixon, having lived here continuously for nearly sixty years, and was almost 85 years of age.
Mr. Forsyth was born in Chester, N, H., Dec. 5. 1825, being the son of
Josiah and Esther (Toll) Forsyth. In 1852 he and his brother Francis came to Dixon from Boston
by way of Chicago and Aurora, the greater portion of the distance being accomplished by stage.
Here the brothers formed a partnership as contractors and masons, continuing in business until their
retirement several years ago, and many buildings in Dixon stand as record of their good workmanship.
In 1851 Mr. Forsyth married Eliza Pressey. and after her death was united in marriage with
Mary A. Mudge at Fremont, Ohio, in 1865. Her death occurred in 1892. Of this union seven
children were born, two of whom survive, Mrs. Esther Forsyth Willard of Galveston, Texas,
and Mahlon R. Forsyth of this city. At the time of his death Mr Forsyth was the oldest member
of the local lodge of Odd Fellows, The funeral services will be held at the late residence,
117 East Boy l street, at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Fred D Stone.
Mahlon's daughter Frances married Howard Fisher, and died 1999 in Monroe County, Wisconsin.
Monroe Wisconsin April 1953 "Mr. and Mrs. Caspar Lamia, South Beloit, are announcing the engagement of their youngest daughter. Ann Marie, to Channing F. Fisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard R. Fisher, Route 3, Brodhead. A midsummer wedding is being planned."
