"Emily E. (Todd) Martin, 94 of Brush passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She was born August 17, 1916 in Bern, Kansas to Tandy O. and Jessie M. (Luginbill) Todd. As a young girl, Emily and her family moved from Humboldt, Nebraska to the Flagler, Colorado area. She attended country schools and graduated from Flagler High School. Emily was united in marriage to Raymond Martin on February 29, 1936 in Burlington, Colorado. The couple of sixty (60) years, moved to the Akron, Colorado area in 1947. In 1950, they purchased a farm south of Yuma, Colorado. Throughout the years the couple did everything together including carpentry, ranching, farming and various community projects. Out of this wonderful union, two daughters were born. She enjoyed her family, crocheting, embroidering and many other arts and crafts. She was also an avid Denver Broncos football and Colorado Rockies baseball fan. Emily was preceded in death by her parents Tandy and Jessie Todd, her husband Raymond Martin, brothers Virgil, Wittie and wife Ruth, Clardon and wife Fran Todd, and son-in-law Robert Mildenburger. She is survived by her daughters Jane Mildenburger of Sterling, Grace and husband Park Keller of Brush, sister Lucille Edge, brother Olen and wife Mary Todd, all of Anderson, Indiana and sister-in-law Evelyn Todd of Fruita, Colorado. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 15, 2010, 10:00 am, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2nd and Fir Street, Akron. Burial will follow in the Akron Cemetery. "
