Frederick claimed a quarter in 28, 6S 49W in 1891, another in 1895, and an additional tract in 1896.

For service in Battery M, 3rd U.S. Artillery, Frederick N. Miller received an invalid pension July 23, 1891 in Colorado, and Annie Miller a widow's pension November 22, 1909. "alias Carl Peterson."

In 1880 Indianapolis, Simon Miller is 64, Anna 51, Henry 26 a teamster, Frederick 24 a machinist married to Anna 21,Carolin 18, and Louis 7, all born in Switzerland.

In 1900 Indianapolis, Frederick W. Miller is a railroad machinist born July 1855 in Switzerland, married 19 years to Anna R. October 1858 New Jersey. Both of her parents were born in Germany. Harry is 19, Frederick 15, Estella 8, and Walter 6, all four born in Indiana.

Walter was born June 10, 1893 in Indianapolis.

Harry Charles Miller, born ASugust 11, 880 in Indianapolis to Fred Miller and Anna Schivak, married Christena Benke of Germany on December 16, 1911 in Marion County, Indiana.

In 1910 Marion County, Indiana, Fred is a truck farmer, 55, with Anna 52, Fred 25, Estella 17, and Walter 16.

Walter Henry Miller registered for WWI in Indianapolis, born June 10, 1893. He's a bookkeeper for the Meyer-Kiser Bank in Indianapolis.


In 1920 Vona, Colorado, Walter H. is 26, an assistant bank cashier, and widowed mother Anna R. 60 is with him.

Walter H. Miller married Ethel M. Hubbert on Sept 8, 1928, recorded in Pueblo County, Colorado.

She was born September 15, 1896 at Stromsburg, Nebraska to William Hubbert and Lydia Johnson.
In 1930 Walter, now married to Ethel M. 33 is in Denver, with daughter Vera newborn, and mother Anna is with them, 70, widowed.

Walter and Ethel are operating a tourist court in 1940 Denver, with Vera Ann 10 and Eugene 3.
They're running a hotel in Grand Island, Nebraska in 1942.
Walter died January 29, 1967, Phoenix, Arizona. "Walter H. Miller, 73, a retired accountant who had lived in Phoenix since 1945, died yesterday in Good Samaritan Hospital. Miller, 4138 N. 34th Place was a native of Indianapolis Ind., and came to Phoenix from Nebraska. He was a member of Central Methodist Church and of the Masonic Lodge in Marion County, Indiana.
Interment will follow Green Acres Memorial Garden. Friends may call today at the mortuary. He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Voyles of Phoenix; a son, Eugene of Manila; a sister, Mrs. Stella Jordan of Illinois; and six grandchildren. "


Ethel Madolin Miller died April 4, 1991. "Ethel M. Miller, 94, of Springerville, a homemaker, died April 4, 1991. She was born in Stromsburg, Neb. Survivors include one daughter, Vera Voyles; one son, Eugene H.; seven grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday, Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale.

Leo Russell Voyles, age 77 passed away in Springerville AZ, October 15, 2003. Leo is a veteran of WWII having served in the Navy. While in the Navy he attended Cal-Tech University and played football. Earlier this year Leo was inducted into The International Scholastic Athletic Hall of Fame in Rhode Island. He then moved to Tucson where he attended the University of Arizona, in 1949 be graduated from the University of Arizona and married Vera Miller that same year. Together they enjoyed 54 years. Leo was very athletic and enjoyed water skiing, camping, fishing, the outdoors, and building houses. Leo is survived by his wife Vera Voyles of Nutrioso, AZ; 2 sons, Craig (Jan) Voyles of Cajon, CA, & Kelly (Janet) Voyles of Phoenix; one daughter Sally (Kent) Stultz of Tempe;
Vera was still alive when their son Kelly Voyles died in 2013.

March 20, 1960 Phoenix "Mr and Mrs. J. D. Wagoner, of Peoria, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Deane, to Eugene H. Miller. Mr. Miller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Miller, 4302 N. 32nd St. He was graduated from Arizona State University, where he was treasurer of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. The bride-to-be, who is a senior at ASU, is a member of Chi Omega and Angel Flight, and is Alpha Gamma Rho Sweetheart. The wedding will be held in the First Presbyterian Church, Peoria, on May 28 "
