John and Stena (Rasmussen) Lueken, 8 South 44 West



In 1900 Dodge County, Nebraska, John F. Lueken born Sept 1868 in Nebraska, is with "Harm" Lueken April 1841 and Sophie E. May 1863, both born in Germany.
(Harm B. Lueken 1842-1926 is buried in Madison County, Nebraska, # 109979347, with Sophia Elizabeth (Lass) (Luken) Peters 1863-1944 # 132805172.
September 1920 "John Olsen of Council Bluffs was declared guilty of an attempt to murder Harm B. Lueken of this city on May 12 by a jury in district court here tonight.
Mrs. Lueken, whose testimony when she turned state's evidence admitted an intimacy with Olson over several years of writing letters, causing Olson to visit her, sustaining illicit relations with him and deliberately seeking to win his love from his wife"
"There is general satisfaction with the verdict returned against John K. Olson, but expressions of regret are heard because of the immunity granted Mrs. Sophie Lueken, who was held under bond on the same charge as Olson. H. B. Lueken. the victim, who is seventy-eight years old. recovered entirely from his wounds and was about the court house during the trial and is very active for a person his age. He was a good witness but he did not hear the testimony of his wife. While Judge Button was occupied all day Saturday with applications for naturalization he did not pronounce sentence on Olson."

One tree said John's sister was Mary A. Mintken 1884-1968 buried in Fremont, Nebraka
Another tree said a sister Sophia born Sept 23, 1886 married a Mueting, and had Raymond in 1907 in Knox County.
Ray M. Mueting is buried in Norfolk # 169078530, March 14, 1961 "Ray Mueting, 53, an attorney here for many years, died Monday at an Omaha Hospital. Mueting, who is survived hy his wife and 7 children, was born at Bloomfield, Neb. He was a graduate of Creighton University Law School "
Mary Mueting, dying 1981, is also buried there # 169078501.

Mitchell, South Dakota, 1977 "Karen Haiar, daughter of Mrs. Marie Haiar of Alexandria and the late Arnold Haiar and Joseph Mueting, son of Mrs. Mary Mueting of Norfolk, Neb. and the late Ray Mueting were united in marriage May 28 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. "

Anton 1880-1940 is buried in Bloomfield, Nebraska # 63580635. So is Sophia Elizabeth (Luken) Mueting 1886-1972 # 63580552.

In 1900 Dodge County, Nebraska, Hans Rasmussen born Sept 1859, married to Joanna Jan 1861, both born in Denmark, have Peter Sept 1886 and Stine April 1887, both born in Nebraska. She's had four kids, three living.
March 17, 1909 Columbus, Nebraska marriage licenses - John F. Lueken, w6, Fremont and Christana Rasmussen, Fremont, age 21.
"Lueken, John, Farmer, S. 34, T. 8, R. 44, P. O. Burlington. Mr. Lueken was born in Nebraska in 1883, settled in the County in 1921, and married Christena Rasmussen. They have two children. "

John Lueken 27, born in Nebraska, and Christina 23 in Nebraska, are farming in McPherson County, South Dakota in 1910, married one year.
They're farming in Dodge County, Nebraska in 1920, John 37, Christiana 32, Fern 9, and Darleen 1.

In 1930 the four are farming in Kit Carson County, Fern at 19 has no occupation. She's buried in Fremont, Nebraska 1910-1932 # 92591396.

John and Stena are alone in 1940 Dodge County, Nebraska. They were in Kit Carson County in 1935.

John 1882-1968, # 92591267 and Maren 1887-1984 # 92591268 are also buried in Fremont.
August 21, 1968 "John Lueken, 86, of rural Fremont, was killed Tuesday in a car-train collision one mile north of here. Lueken was southbound on U.S. Highway 77 when his car collided with an eastbound Burlington switch engine. Acting Dodge County Cor- norer Ted Vrana pronounced Lueken dead at the scene."

1970 "The defendant, Walter Adams, is the owner of a farm located principally on the Southwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 18, Range 8, Dodge County, Nebraska. A township road runs north and south along the west side of defendant's land. Plaintiff, Nickerson Township, is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the road; and plaintiff, Dodge *389 County, is responsible for the maintenance of bridges on township roads. The plaintiff, Stena Lueken, owns the quarter section of land immediately across the road west of defendant Adams' land."

Stena Lueken, born April 2, 1887, died December 1, 1984.

Darleen (Lueken) Fellows 1918-2009 is also buried in Fremont, with Alman Edward Fellows 1916-1996.
"Darleen was born March 4, 1918 in Ames, Nebraska to John and Maren 'Rasmussen' Lueken. At a young age the family moved to Colorado where they farmed, returning later to the Fremont 'Bluffs' area. On June 29, 1941 Darleen was married to Alman E. 'Bud' Fellows in Fremont. They continued to live in Fremont until they moved to a farm southwest of Hooper. They lived on the farm from 1947 until 1955 when they moved into Hooper. While living in Hooper Darleen worked as a secretary for the superintendent at the Hooper High School then also at Logan View High School. After Darleen and Bud retired they enjoyed playing cards traveling with friends.
Bud passed away in April of 1996. Darleen then moved to Shalimar Gardens in Fremont in July of 2004. She had been an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper.

2 Nieces - JoAnn and husband Leroy Intorn of San Antonio, TX.
Connie and husband Larry Revoir of Grand Island
Darleen was preceded in death by her husband, Sister - Fern Lueken, and her parents."

Maren Christine is the sister of Peter Rasmussen 1886-1963, # 92591407, parents Hans and Johanna (Lund) Rasmussen.
