She was very active in the Las Vegas-Sun City Summerlin Quilt Club (approx. 100 members). She was involved in several roles, as a Director, a Vice President, and President in 2003. She has made many beautiful quilts and various other projects. She was also involved in her Home Owner's Association where she lived, holding the offices of, Director, then Treasurer. June made so many friends wherever she went.
She sold her home in September 2006 and moved to Denver to be closer to family after having "Open Heart" surgery. Several other surgeries followed. Such as a knee replacement and health related hospitalizations.
However, once again she made many good friends in Windsor Gardens.
