Anderson Huffman Cardwell 1873-1905 is buried in Mincy, Taney County, Missouri # 26857287.
"A H Cardwell was the son of Royal and Anna Claypool Cardwell. He was the husband of Eliza Jane Burlingame, who is buried in Concorde Cemetery, Plato, Texas, Missouri. She died in 1893 after the birth of their eleventh child, a boy. Their other children: Ida Florence, Ulysses Stanton, Clara Augusta, Lillian Aurora, Olive Rosetta, Francis Allen, Alma Myrtle, Annie Laurel, Edith Sophie and Ivy Melinda."

Alma Myrtle Cardwell was born June 20, 1881 in Success, Texas County, Missouri.

Myrtle Cardwell, under 18, and Perry Calhoun, over 21, both of Mincey, Missouri, married in Taney County March 11, 1899.

In 1900 Decatur County, Kansas, Perry born January 1877 is married to Myrtle June 1881, with his parents Jesse 72 and Phoebe 65, both born in North Carolina. Sarah was born July 1868 in Illinois.

Jesse 1827-1911 is buried in Sabetha, Nemaha County, Kansas # 153808638. So is Pheaby (Smith) Calhoun 1834-1915 # 153808917. They had eleven children.

FindaGrave # 77249070 says "EUNICE STRAWHUN GADDY 88, passed away at the Sharpview Nursing Home, Bellaire, Texas. Eunice was born to parents Jasper Strawhun and Ellie Wade Strawhun on July 5, 1881 in Rolla, Phelps County, Missouri. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents and first husband Dewitt Golliday Stromatt; one son James R. Stromatt. Eunice is survived by one son William Jasper Stromatt and numerous other relatives. "

Alice's brother Lewis born Novmeber 1, 1886 in Missouri, died December 13, 1968 in Santa Barbara County, California.
He married Meta Margaret Booth on January 4, 1911 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Lewis, 55, married Florence E. Randall, 46 on June 30, 1942 in Mayes County, Oklahoma.

Daisy Strawhun, 44, is with Lewis - widowed - in 1920 Tulsa County, a housekeeper.

In 1900 Decatur County, Kansas, Charles is farming, born October 1874 in Illinois, wmarried one year to Alice January 1878 in Missouri. A daughter Edna Coffer April 1891 in Missouri, parents born in Kentucky . So Edna might be adopted...


Leana May Calhoun, daughter of C.M. and A. Calhoun -1904-1905 is buried in Lawrence, Kansas # 43386781.

In 1930, still a policeman, Charles is 56, Alice 53, and Nellie M. 25 a nursemaid.

In 1940 Charles is widowed, 65, living with daughter Nellie Thomas 34 and her husband Orlen D., 61 who operate a restaurant.

Charles Marvin Calhoun 1874-1952 is buried in Lawrence, Kansas # 43386865, with Alice 1878-1933, # 43386927.
Daisy R. (Calhoun) Welsh 1901-1961 is buried in Lawrence, Kansas, with Henry Welsh 1904-1983.
