attended the funeral of his father, C. C. Anderson, of Elmore Friday.
Mr. Anderson had been ill at home for two years and in failing health for
six years. He was a native of Norway, having come to the United States
when two years old. He was 79 years old."

BERNIECE
Berniece Edna Johnson, 86, Elmore, died on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 31, at the United Methodist Church in Elmore with burial in the Riverview Cemetery.
Berniece Anderson was born on July 25, 1915, in Thor, Iowa, to Chris C. and Josephine (Thorson) Anderson. She attended country school in Iowa before her family moved to Elmore. She graduated in 1931 from Elmore High School. After high school she attended beautician school in Minneapolis.
Berniece was united in marriage to Gerald "Benny" Kurth on Nov. 18, 1940. They lived in Elmore and Berniece operated the "Clip and Curl" beauty shop. Benny died on Nov. 25, 1980. On Nov. 23, 1984, she married Keith Johnson and they lived in Elmore and wintered in Mesa, Ariz. She retired after owning and operating the "Clip and Curl" for 50 years. Keith died on Feb. 11, 1987.
She was an active member of the Elmore United Methodist Church, Elmore Senior Center, Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center Ladies Auxiliary, Top of the Hill Club, and helped with many fund raisers. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, flowers, fishing, and traveling.
Survivors include her three daughters: Diane (Art) Rittenhouse of Paynesville, Vicki (Steve) Terhark of Fairmont, and Kathy (Alvin) Ferguson of Elmore; one daughter-in-law, Linda Kurth of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer (Harriet) Anderson of Blue Earth, Cecil (Grace) Anderson of Mankato, and Myrl (Clarice) Anderson of Blue Earth; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Gerald "Benny" Kurth; second husband, Keith Johnson; one son, Ronald Kurth; four sisters, Nellie Cuppernoll, Mayme Julius, Clara Snyder, Esther Snyder; and one brother, Howard Anderson
MYRL
Myrl Keith Anderson died April 8, 2015 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He was born on March 8, 1921 in rural Kossuth County, IA to Christ and Josephine (Thorson) Anderson. He was baptized on May 8, 1921 and confirmed on September 2, 1934 at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore. He attended country school in rural Elmore. Myrl first worked at the Phillips 66 in Elmore. On April 23, 1955 Myrl was united in marriage to Clarice Espeland at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. Then he owned and operated the traveling roller rink in Faribault County. The Egg Produce of Ledyard, IA was Myrl's next business venture. Myrl then went to work for the elevator in Lakota, IA in 1967. He retired in 1983. He was a lifetime active member of Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore. Myrl enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with family.
Myrl is survived by his wife, Clarice of Blue Earth; one son, Steven Anderson of Blue Earth; two daughters, Sherry Johnson of Fairmont, Robin (David) Mathews, Blue Earth; four grandchildren, Vanessa (Wesley), Chandler, Christopher (Robyn), Elizabeth; one great grandson, Blake; one sister-in-law, Harriet Anderson, Blue Earth.
ORVILLE
Orville Cecil Anderson born February 14, 1918, died June 18, 2006, last residence Mankat9, Minnesota.

LEONARD
Leonard Elmer Anderson was born January 11,1911, in Kit Carson County, Colorado to Herman and Louise Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed into the triune faith on April 25, 1943 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. T. J. Severtson officiating. He passed away at Trinity Regional Hospital in fort Dodge on December 4, after reaching the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 24 days.
Mr. Anderson attended schools in Minnesota and in Goldfield. He was united in marriage to Hope Hanson of Thor at Badger on June 25, 1932. They made their home in Thor, Goldfield, and Eagle Grove. Mr. Anderson was a Chicago and North Western Railroad engineer and had been in failing health for a number of years.
Leonard was preceded in death by his father, one son Darrell Gene; and one brother, Harold.
Those who mourn his his passing are his wife; five daughters - Mrs. Marvetta Gerard, Webster City; Mrs. Darlene Erickson, South Sioux City, Neb.; Mrs. Rebecca Kotchka, Eagle Grove; Joanne (Mrs. Clayton Will), Badger; Lucinda (Mrs. John Asche), Eagle Grove; mother, Mrs. Louise Anderson, Eagle Grove; and three sisters, Mrs. Harry Bennett, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Homer Bjornson, McAllen, Tex.; Mrs. Lena Mathis, Eagle Grove.
Funeral services were held Dec. 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagle Grove church, Rev. H. W. Schiller officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
LENA
Lena was living with parents in 1930 Wright COunty, and in 1940 is divorced, with a son Eugene R. 7. They're living with widowed David Mathis 36 born in Nebraska and his son Gerald D. 11.
