Mary Lorraine Christensen, born October 27, 1928 in Denver, was Erfurdt in 1962, and died August 2, 2005, last residence Adams County, Colorado.

Survived by three grandsons, Bryan, Tod, and Mickey; two granddaughters, Rhonda and Michele.
Also survived by numerous great grandchildren. Passed away November 20, 2005. Private service will be held.
James H. Erfurdt " entered St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, August 15 2013 of pneumonia, and passed away peacefully, on the morning of August 18 before his 85th birthday. Jim was born in Denver, Colorado- a third generation native Denverite- his parents were- Father, Herbert Jack Erfurdt, and Mother, Margaret Horan Erfurdt.
James is buried in Fort Logan # 116325305.

JOHN

JOSEPH HERSCHEL
In 1930 Rawlins County, Kansas, John A. Officer 19, Herschel 17, and Curtis J. 15, all born in Colorado, are with uncle Roger Pemberton in Rawlins County, Kansas.
In 1940 Rawlins County, Herschel is 27, farming. Myrtle 56, is widowed, living with him. She was in Wichita, Kansas in 1935.
Burniece, fourth oldest child of Emery and Flora Hunt was born near Ravenwood, Missouri, May 29, 1914 and departed this life May 24, 1935, at McDonald, Kansas, after a few days of serious illness. Age 20 years, 11 months and 25 days. She leaves to mourn her early passing a tiny daughter, Phylis Leone and a beloved husband. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Emery Hunt of Bird City. She was preceded in death by one brother at an early age. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Thelma Lavell, of Sparta, Missouri, a brother Clarence E. Hunt, a sister Dorthea Hunt and a brother Harlan Hunt, all of Bird City.
Burniece, as she was commonly known, was a young lady of a pleasing personality which won her many friends, She attended grade school at Yuma, Colo., at which place she graduated from the eighth grade. Later she moved with her family to Bird City, Kansas, where she graduated from high school with the class of 1932.
(Emery Hunt wrote in 1971 "I lived most of 10 years in Yuma 1918 to 1929. Moved to Bird City for eight years then to Monte Vista, Colorado four years, then to Turlock, California for 28 years before returning to Bird City in May 1969. I will be 84 years old December 10, 1971.")
She was united in marriage to Herschel Officer in the Church of God at McDonald, by Rev. David Lighty. The happy couple started married life on a farm south of McDonald, where they expected to enjoy the comforts of life but it was not to be, and Burniece was stricken seriously ill with scarlet fever and slipped peacefully away from this life unto her Heavenly mansion at 6 a.m. Friday morning.
Joseph Herschel Officer was born at Flagler, Colo. on Sept. 14, 1912 and passed away at the Ralston Rest Home in St. Francis, Kansas on Dec, 19, 1966, at the age of 54 years, 3 months and 5 days. His early childhood was spent at Flagler, Colo., and Leota, Kan. When he was seven years of age he moved to McDonald with his aunt and uncle with whom he had gone to make his home when he was but five years old, At McDonald, he grew to manhood and graduated from McDonald High School with the class of 1931.
In 1934 he was united in marriage with Bernice Hunt. To this union was born one child, a daughter Phyllis. The mother died of Scarlet Fever ten days after giving birth. In 1947 he was united in marriage with Mildred Selberg. To this union also was born one child, daughter Karen Rae. In 1953 he moved to a farm eight miles north of Seibert, Colo., where he lived until brain surgey left him an invalid. During a lengthly illness he has resided the past six and one-half years at the Ralston Rest Home in St. Francis.
Early in his life he became an active member of the McDonald Church of God. When he moved to Seibert, Colo., he transferred his membership to the EUB Church of that city.
He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Virgil. Also Roger Pemberton, with whom he had made his home in earlier years. Hugal Pemberton survives, as do his mother of Morrison, Colo.; his wife, Mildred of St. Francis, Kans., and two daughters, Phyllis Hubbard of McDonald and Karen Officer, presently a student at Rockmont College, Longmont, Colo. There are two sisters, Mamie Christensen of Morrison, Colo. and Bernice Cory of Rosemead, Calif. Two brothers, John of Denver and Curtis of McDonald. There are four grandchildren. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends join in cherishing his memory.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, Dec. 21, 1966 at Riddell's Chapel of St. Francis. Rev. Clarence Swihart conducted the swervices. Intermeent was in Grace cemetery of McDonald.
JAMES CURTIS
In 1930 Rawlins County, Kansas, John A. Officer 19, Herschel 17, and Curtis J. 15, all born in Colorado, are with uncle Roger Pemberton in Rawlins County, Kansas.
James Curtis "Curt" Officer was born Sept. 23, 1914 at Flagler, Colo., to James and Myrtle (Pemberton) Officer. He died June 8, 1991 at Rawlins County Hospital in Atwood, Kan., at the age of 76.
He was a farmer and long-time resident of McDonald. He accepted Christ in the fall of 1979 and was baptized in December of 1980.
During his early childhood he lived with his parents in Denver. At the age of five he moved to McDonald, Kan., where he lived with his Uncle Rog and Aunt Hugal Pemberton. He acquired his education through rural McDonald School system. He developed his interest and love for farming by working with his Uncle Rog.
Curt served in the Army during peace time from 1935 to 1938 in San Francisco, Calif.
He was united in marriage to Eunice Gaines June 2, 1940 at McDonald. They were married 51 years.
During his retirement years, he played golf and was very fond of the sport.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Myrtle; his aunt and uncle, Rog and Hugal; two sisters, Mayme "Chris" Christensen and Bernice Cory; one brother, Hershel Officer; sisters-in-law Carol Officer and Mildred Officer; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Christensen.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice of McDonald; their son, Lynn Officer and his wife, Rita, of McDonald; their grandchildren, Melissa Regier and husband, Randy, of Mingo and Mark, Michael and Marilee Officer of McDonald; great grandson Kale Regier of Mingo; his brother, John Office and wife, Hazel, of Denver, an aunt, Mrs Theo (Marie) Pemberton of Denver; an uncle, Glen Winslow of Denver; brother-in-law Wayne Cory of Denver; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in his name to the Federated Church and Ambulance Fund, both of McDonald.
Funeral services were held Jun 8 at the Federated Church at McDonald with the Rev. Greg Moyer and the Rev. Clarence Swihart officiating.
Interment was at the Grace Cemetery at McDonald.
VERNON
Vernon Wayne Officer was born July 29, 1931 in Redding, dying October 31, 1994.
Vernon Wayne Officer, Jr. married Margaret Ann Moore on April 9, 1981 in Pasco County, Florida.
ERMA
James M. Officer and Odell Lane had Erma Lea Officer on December 30, 1932 in Shasta County, name as Burney in 1954, and as Isbell in 1967. She died December 1, 2000.
She's buried in Henderson County, Texas
Funeral services for Erma Lea Isbell, 67, of Frankston were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Renfro Memorial Chapel of Boren Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Bro. Jerry Stanger officiating.
Burial was in Garden Oaks Cemetery in Berryville under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Isbell died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 19, in a Tyler hospice.
She was born Dec. 30, 1932 in Redding, Calif. She was formerly of Dallas and lived in the Frankston area for 14 years.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a housewife.
Mrs. Isbell was a lifetime DAV member and a member of VFW, Frankston. She participated in many charities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Howard Isbell and brother, Vernon Officer Sr.
Survivors include a son, Donald Robert Isbell, Frankston; two daughters, Rickie Marlene Williams, Dallas and Charlotte Rose Rowland, Cedar Hill; two brothers, Upton D. Officer, Houston and Lyn R. Officer, Caldosta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
BERTHA
Bertha Mae (Officer)(Surface) Flanders 1930-1964 is buried in Tampa.
Berthia Mae was a Mother of 6 living children and 1 still-born child, Albrittie Ann (attached to this memorial). She had a heart of gold with a wonderful laugh and smile to go with it. She was the oldest of 5 children. Brothers, Vernon W. Officer, and Upton D. & Lynn R. Officer. Sister Erma L. Officer Isbell. She died suddenly in a tragic car accident. She was carrying her 8th child, that passed due to the accident. Her children, Verma Lea Surface, Keith Surface, Steve Surface, Duane Surface, Doyle Surface, & Claytor Flanders will miss her always. "
UPTON
Upton 1935-2013 is buried in Houston.
"Upton D. Officer, Air Force Lt. Col. (ret.), died Oct. 16, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Burial after military honors was at Houston National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, three grown children Patricia White, Jim Officer, and Chris Officer. Additionally, he is survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Upton Officer served a 26-year Air Force career with 11 years as a fighter pilot which included four tours and 375 missions in Vietnam. He was awarded 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses, three Meritorious Service Medals, 24 Air Medals, The Air Force Commendation Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Silver Star and Top Gun (1970). He was a River Rat, a Yankee Air Pirate and a member of the Order of the Daedalians.
Upton Officer's second career was as a manager with Metropolitan Transit Authority of Houston. His proudest achievement was helping with the widening of Houston's I-45 North Freeway. "
LYN
Lyn Ray "Twin" Officer 1935-2013 is buried in Valdosta, Georgia "How do you say goodbye to your hero? My father Lt. Col Lyn Ray Officer, Sr. (USAF Retired) was born on February 1, 1935 in Mt. Shasta, California to James Martin Officer and Odell Lane Officer. He left us on May 31, 2013 in Valdosta, Georgia. My father taught us that God, Country and Honor come before self. My father fell in love with his first love "flying" at the age of 5 in Missouri. My father fell in love with his second love my mother while he was stationed at Moody Field as an instructor pilot. He met her in September, dated her in October and married Marjorie Doreen Carter Officer on November 17, 1958 at Lee Street Baptist Church. They spent 55 wonderful years together as she followed him from Moody to Lubbock Texas to Luke AFB, Arizona to Hahn AFB Germany then he dropped her back in Valdosta while he went to Vietnam where he flew 252 combat missions. When he returned we all moved to Fort Richie, Maryland (he had to drive down to Andrews AFB to fly), then it was off to Montgomery AFB Alabama, where he was an Oral Historian and taught at the Air Force War College, next came Camp Smith, Hawaii where he was at the Pacific Command Headquarters and handled all strategic planning and satellite issues. He brought us back to Valdosta after that because he had to go on a remote assignment to Won Ju, Korea to be the liaison Officer to the Commander, First Republic of Korea Army. He came back to Moody AFB as Chief of Plans and retired from there with 29 years, 9 months and 14 days of service in the USAF. During his lifetime he has flown over 14, 000 hours. While in the USAF he flew F-86, T-33, T-37 and the F-100.
People have told me that my father is a throwback from the age of real men. That makes me feel good because there aren't enough real men left in this world and one more is now gone but never will be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Chaplain Donald Bridges will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Military Honors and Masonic Rites at the graveside."
