JOHN GRAHAM

In 1910 Kit Carson County, John Graham is farming, 38, with brother James Graham 40, both born in Scotland, immigrating in 1883 and 1885.

It's possible that James went back to Scotland for WWI...

John Graham proved up two quarters in sections 5 and 8, 6S 48W in 1913.

In 1930 Kit Carson County, John is 70, widowed, living alone.


JOHN GRAHAM HALL

John Graham Hall was born at Selkirk Scotland on Oct 23, 1881 to Thomas Hall and Jane Graham, arriving on a train Canada in 1915, living in Denver for five years, and was naturalized in Denver in 1921.

When he declared intent on October 31, 1916, he said he arrived through the port of Warroad, Minnesota on December 31, 1919, and had come from Hubert, British Columbia on the Grand Trunk Railroad.

John arrived in New York April 30, 1905 on the Caledonia from Glasgow, and when applying for naturalization in 1921 was living at 718 13th St., Denver.

A John Hall is in South Dakota in 1905, age 23, arriving in South Dakota and the U.S. in 1904.
John Hall cash-claimed a quarter in 7, 6S, 48W in 1910.
In 1910 Denver, John Graham Hall is a carpenter, single, 28, born in Scotland, in a roooming house.

John is living at 1506 California Street in Denver when registering for WWI, working for C.S. Lambie at the Tramway Building in Denver. His nearest relative was John Graham of Vona, Colorado.

In 1920 Denver, John is in a rooming house on California Street, a carpenter.

He might be the "John Bell" in 1930 Denver, doing odd jobs, living in a big rooming house on 19th Street.

In 1940 Denver, there's a John G. Hall in a small lodging house with Mildred Griffith. He's 58, born in Scotland, a carpenter. He said he was in Kirkwall, Orkney in 1935.

John was living at 1127 E. 16th Avenue in Denver, when registering for WWII. His reference was David Matthews of the same address. He was working at the Denver Ordnance Plant.

On April 24, 1953, John, of Denver, born at Selkirk, left Montreal on the Empress of Scotland for Greenock, Scotland, to be staying for three months.
