WILLIAM ROSS GEORGE
"Ross" is working for the Reynolds family in 1900 Phillips County, born Sept 1882 in Kansas.
He's a farm laborer in 1910 Phillips County, living alone,.
He registered for WWI in Kit Carson County, born Sept 22, 1882, his parents his nearest relative, with a Vona Colorado address for both.
William claimed two quarters in 27, 6S, 48W in 1918.
William registered for WWII in Joseph Idaho, working for Dace Harriman in Joseph. Hi snearest relative was Charlie George of Bayard, Nebraska.
William Ross George 1882-1952 is buried in Kalispell, Montana.
October 26, 1952 "William Ross George,
age 70, died at a local hospital late Friday evening
following a lingering illness. Mr. George had made
his residence in Kalispell for the past five years,
coming from Kansas. He is survived by a brother,
Arthur of Couer d'Alene, Idaho, and a sister,
Mrs. Belle Sullivan of Logan, Kansas.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word
from the relatives and will be
announced later by the Waggener and Campbell Funeral Home"

Robert Eugene George, born June 29, 1918 at Vona to Roy Lewis George and Neva Gertrude Gingles, died in Gregg County, Texas on July 14, 1972. He was a truck driver. The informant was Norm Travis, his nephew.
He was to be buried at Vona.
Norman Dean Travis, 19, of Vona married
Betty Colleen Zogg, 21, of Stratton on June 11, 1950 in Kit Carson Coujty.
February 15, 2012 "Colleen was the loving wife of Babe Ruth League International Board Member Norm Travis. Baseball was a family tradition. (Norm and Colleen even spent their honeymoon watching baseball in Denver.) Colleen was a great supporter of the Babe Ruth League program. Rain, wind, sun, she was there to support the great sport. After her own sons moved onto other interests, the grandkids began to play. There was not an event that she wasn’t present cheering for her kids. In honor of Colleen and Norm’s years of support, the Midwest Plains Region of Babe Ruth League has created a sportsmanship award in the couple’s name to be presented at every Midwest Plains Regional Tournament (baseball and softball)."

In 1940 Inglewood, California, Orviette L. Pierce is 28, last residence Vona, Colorado. She's married to Thomas N. Pierce 25 born in Texas, who was in Los Angeles in 1935.
Thomas 1914-1960 died in Los Angeles.
Orvietta died in California, and is buried in Vons 1911-1999 # 95409192.
