Frank J. Dobish, 6 South 48 West



In 1870 Le Sueur County, Minnesota, Laurence "Dubash" is 26, Mary 22, both born in Bohemia. Frank 4, Mary 2, and Alber ttwo months were born in Minnesota.

In 1880 Sherman County, Nebraska, Frank is 18, born in Minnesota a herder for Robert and James Dinwidie, brothers.

Another Frank - on February 2, 1885, Frank Dobesh, 22, married Mary Jeliney, 20 in Saunders County, Nebraska.
This one was in Saunders County in 1885, age 20, with father Thomas 56, Mary 18 and Anna 13.


Frank cash-claimed a quarter in 6, 6S, 48W in 1891. In six of the sections surrounding this one, this was the only one prior to 1895.


In 1900 Howard County, Nebraska, Frank is farming, born November 1867 in Minnesota of Bohemian parents, living alone.

He's between two Klanecky families, born in Bohemia.

His parents are also in Howard County in 1900, Laurance 54, maria 50, Joseph 18, Bozena 26, John 14, Mary 13, and Mike 7.
Laurence and Mary are back in Pine County, Minnesota in 1910, with Charles 25, John 23, and Mike 1`8.
Lawrence 1845-1920 is buried in Pine County # 60094059. Mary died in Pine County July 8, 1932.


August 7, 1900 Kearney " Aug. 7. Last night Fanny Dobish, the 0 year-old daughter of Frank Dobish, a farmer living six miles south of Ausley, wan dragged to death by a horse. It is supposed the child placed the bridle strap around her neck aud tried to get on the horse, the horse became frightened and ran, dragging the child uutil the bridle broke, when the child was dead."

In 1906 Howard County, township 15 North 12 West, F. J. Dobish has a quarter in section 15.

In 1910 Howard County, Frank is 38, married seven years to Mary 27 born in Bohemia. Willie is 7, James 5, Alice 3, and John 2, all four born in Nebraska.

In 1920 they have Willie 16, Jimmie 14, Ellis 12, and John 10.

Frank and Mary are alone in 1940 Buffalo County, Nebraska.

1945 Denham, Minnesota "Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dobesh spent three weeks in Ravenna, Elba, and St. Paul, Nebraska, visiting friends and relatives, some of whom Mr. Dobesh had not seen for 40 years. On their way home they visited his sister and Florence Dobesh."

Frank J. Dobish 1865-1955 is buried in Ravenna, Buffalo County, Nebraska # 47606392, wtih mary 1883-1970.

"Dorothy V. Lingle, 74, of Moose Lake entered eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, in Mercy Hospital and Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born May 9, 1932, in Birch Creek Township to Joseph Sr. and Bessie (Barton) Dobesh. Dorothy grew up and attended Willow River High School. After school, she moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Northwest Bank. On May 16, 1959, Dorothy married "Bud" George Lingle at Faith Lutheran Church in Denham. They lived in Moose Lake and Dorothy did child care in her home for many years."
