1954 Neosho, Missouri "Mr. and Mrs. Roy Finch had the pleasure of having all their three
children home for Easter, Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Patterson and daughter, Barbara of Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
Mrs. Patterson is the former Ruth Finch, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Finch of Springfield
and Mrs. Geneva Bradley and children Florence, Richard and Phyllis Carterman of Diamond
and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Houghton of Joplin also were guests of Finch's."
1964 "Mr. and Mrs. Roy Finch, Rte. 5, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Nov. 25.
An open house is planned in their honor at their home on Nov. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The couple were married in Stratton, Colorado and have lived at their present farm home
near Monark Springs, since 1936. They have three children, Mr. Francis Finch, Springfield;
and Mrs. Geneva Bradley, Diamond, V. S. Patterson, Hattiesburg, Miss.
They also have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. All friends and relatives are invited to the celebration but are asked not to bring gifts."

1954 Neosho "Richard Carterman son of Mrs. Joe Bradley had the misfortune to get his arm broken Saturday while he was cranking a tractor at the Don Ridlen farm.
Geneva Bradley 1916-1999 is buried in Diamond, Missouri, # 53826537.
Her daughter Carol is also buried there.
"Wayne Allen Bradley was born on Friday, May 16, 1958, in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Geneva Bradley. He grew up in Diamond, Missouri. Following his military service, Wayne moved to Ottawa, Kansas in 1979 and the Centropolis-Pomona, Kansas area in 1999, where he made his home until his death on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at the age of fifty years.
Wayne attended school in Diamond, Missouri.
He was employed as an electrician in Electrical Maintenance thirteen years for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Plant in Topeka, Kansas. He had previously worked as an electrician in Electrical Maintenance for Wolf Creek from 1980 to 1984 and Hercules Ammunitions Plant in DeSoto from 1984 to 1994.
Wayne served in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1979 attending several schools including defensive driving, electronics technician, cultural expression/phase II human relation, syncro principles, and shipboard security force training.
He attended Agapé and Assembly of God Church; was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Nos. 307, 22 and 226; and former member of Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Ottawa Lodge #803, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Family was very important to Wayne. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and son-in-law, who was so proud of all his family. He also enjoyed being outdoors.
On November 5, 1982, Wayne was united in marriage with Starleen Schmoe in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home.
He is also survived by three sons, 2nd Lt. Buck Bradley and his wife, Sarah, of Quantico, VA, Cpl. Levi Bradley of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Cord Bradley of Olathe, KS; daughter, Nichole Bradley of Pomona, KS; brother, Richard Carterman and his wife, Ruth, of Diamond, MO; three sisters, Carol Bradley of Diamond, MO, Phyllis Loving of MO, Florence Columbo of AR; mother-in-law, Sherry Wright of Ottawa, KS; father and mother-in-law, George, Sr. and Marsha Schmoe of Ottawa, KS; four brothers-in-law, Darin Schmoe and his wife, Rebecca, of Ottawa, KS, Darik Schmoe and his wife, Linda, of Pomona, KS, George Schmoe, Jr. and his wife, Jessica, of Lawrence, KS, Willilam Schmoe of Ottawa, KS; four grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby, Tucker, and Ava Bradley; several aunts and uncles, including Aunt Darlene Finch of Springfield, MO; and several nieces, nephews, gt. nieces and nephews, and gt. gt. nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother in 1999; uncle, Francis Finch in 2007, and aunt, Ruth Patterson in 2007."
"Francis Michael Finch, 88, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away in his home on October 26, 2007. He was born August 7, 1919 on a homestead in Stratton, Colorado to Roy and Mary (Carrigan) Finch. He was raised in Neosha and graduated from Granby High School. He married Darlene (Merrick) Finch on October 7, 1950 in Springfield, Missouri. Francis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was loved by many. Francis was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very active in his faith. He was a Eucharistic Minister, was former president of parish council, a Sacred Heart Angel, president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Sacred Heart, and a member of the Oblates where he enjoyed the fellowship of many. He was a member of the American Legion and was involved in the St. John's Auxiliary. Francis was also known for his love of fishing, tinkering, and teasing his grandchildren. Francis was a veteran of World War II where he served in Panama and Germany. He received two Bronze Stars, and after receiving an Honorable Discharge Francis returned to Springfield and was employed with City Utilities where he retired after 39 years.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Geneva Bradley and Agnes Evelene Finch.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Jay Sebek, and her sons, Matthew and Joshua McClanahan; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ellen Finch, and their daughters, Katherine and Hannah all of Springfield; his sister, Ruth Patterson of Madison, Mississippi; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas McGann, CMF celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. The visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday with prayer services starting at 6:30 p.m. all in the church. Ruth F. Patterson, 82, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Manhatten Health Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5:30 until 7:00pm Monday at the church. A wake service will be at 7:00pm. Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Patterson was born in Neosho, Missouri and graduated from Granby High School in Granby, Mo. She attended Southwest Missouri University, and due to her husband's work, she lived in Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Kentucky and Mississippi. She had been in Jackson since 1961 and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Clare Bible Study and the Golden Lads and Lassies. She retired as a Sales Associate with McRae's Department Store after ten years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Carlos Patterson in 1982.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Anne Patterson of Brewer, Maine, Katherine P. McGowan and her husband Michael of Madison, and Jennifer P. Quinn of Madison; her son,Stephen Finch Patterson and his wife Anita of Alabaster, Ala.; two grandchildren, Sarah Ruth McGowan and Mary Katherine McGowan of Madison; and her sister-in-law, Darlene Finch of Springfield, Mo.

In 1981 Joseph R. Carrigan of Kit Carson,
Colorado was secretary-treasurer of the K.C. Electrical Co-Op, headquartered in Hugo, Colorado.
LAWRENCE
April 1910 "Lawrence Carrigan and wife, and Mrs. Huldah DeShamp, the two former from Mineral and the latter from Pittsburg, Kansas arrived Wednesday morning and will visit their parents, Chas. Unger and wife of near Robb."
The East Yuma History says that Mrs. Carrigan had previously been married to a Howe, who was killed in Kansas.
Lawrence is in Yuma County in 1920, farming, 35, born in Missouri,
with Edith 35 Illinois.
Edith's children Allie Howe 14 born in Kansas and Carl 13 in Missouri. Paul Carrigan 10 was born in Kansas.
Lawrence proved up two quarters in 11, 2N 45W in 1920. That's in the sandhills north of Wray, Colorado.
August 5, 1937 items in the North Eckley area "Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Carrigan and his mother spent Sunday at the Clyde Brownlee home."
February 1906 - Meade County, Kansas " February 17 - Joseph Howe, a former Rich Hill young man, was killed in a coal mine at Mineral, Kan., recently. He was married to Miss Edith Unger, of this city, quite recently."
