Ezra D. Bugbee, 6 South 48 West
Ezra timber-claimed a quarter in 35, 6S, 48W in 1898.
Ezra D. Bugbee was born in Ashtabula County, Ohio in 1843, the son of Wyman Bugbee (1793-1877) and Milla Anna Love (1796-1858). ,. Moved to Coldbrook, Warren County, Illinois with his parents in, 1855. Married Miss Sarah Frentz, of Warren County, in, 1862. That same year he enlisted as private in Company B, 102nd Regiment, Illinois Infantry. Wounded at the battle of Resaca, Georgia in, 1864. Mustered out as corporal June 6, 1865. He had three children- W. A., Frank E. and Jessie Mabelle. He was a member of John Brown Post, No. 44, Grand Army of the Republic, Belleville, Kansas.
Ezar D. "Bugby" married Sarah J. Frantz on May 17, 1861 in SWarren County, Illinois.
In 1875 Republic County, Kansas, E.D. is 33, S.F. 30, Freddie 8, Willie 7, and Frank 5.
Fred A. Bugbee 1863-1878 is buried in Repbublic County # 54838000.
In 1880 Republic County, E.D. is 38, Sarah J. 36, Will A. 12, Frank E. 10, and Jessie May 3.
In 1889 E.D. Bugbee, who had served in B, 102nd Illinois Infantry, wounded hip and hand, was a meember ot the F.A.R. post of Chester, Thayer County, Nebraska, residing in Kansas.
In 1900 Republic County, Kansas, Ezra born May 1840 in Ohio, is a landlord,
married 39 years to Sarah J. July 1843 Pennsylvania. Will A. is widowed
April 1868 Iowa, has a son Price E. 8 and daughter Silva D. 5, both born in Kansas.
Katherine (Hewitt) Bugbee 1871-1898, William Alvin Bugbee's wife, is buried in Republic COunty # 54837209.
In 1910 Republic County, Ezra is 69, Sarah J. 65, and Sylvia D. 16.
Ezra died Sunday, 21 November 1920, at home in Abilene.
"Ezra D. Bugbee, 80, a Kansas pioneer and veteran of the Civil war,
who marched with Sherman to the sea, died recently at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. W. A. Callahan, in Abilene, Kansas."

Ezra is buried 1840-1920 in Abilene, Kansas # 52094176, with Saraj J. (Frentz) Bugbee 1843-1928.
"Sarah J. Bugbee was born in Susquahana county, Pennsylvania, July 30, 1843 and departed this life, July 21, 1928, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Callahan, at Abilene, Kansas, aged 84 years, 11 months, and 21 days. She moved with her parents at the age of 8 years to Galesburg Illinois.
There she met and married E. D. Bugbee in May 1860. With her husband and family, she immigrated to Republc county, Kansas in 1871, where they homesteaded in Liberty township, later moving to Rosecreek township. They then moved to Abilene, kansas where E. D. Bugbee, the husband and father, died in 1920. She lived there with her daughter until her death.
There were born to this union, four sons and one daughter, of which two sons preceded in death the father and mother.
She united with the Methodist church at an early age, where she remained a true and faithful Christian until her death. She was especially active in the work of charity, believing that charity is the noblest tree in the Garden of Eden, and that its roots are embeded in the soul of man, and that its blossoms are fragrant with perfumes of good deeds, and its fruit blesses alike the giver and the receiver. She was a loving mother, a faithful friend and a wife, who never failed in her duties to her husband.
She leaves to mourn her loss, two sons, and one daughter, W. A. Bugbee, of Munden, Kansas: F. E. Bugbee of Yerrington, Nevada, and Mrs. W. A. Callahan of Abilene, Kansas. There also remain to mourn her loss, seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends far and near.
Truely it may be said of her, "Well done thou good and faithful servant." and may we fancy we hear the angels sing, "Upon Jordan's Stormy banks we stand, and cast a watchful eye to Cauan's fair and happy land, where my possessions lie." May she successfully cross that last abyss, that spans the space between life and eternity, and may she receive a seat at the right hand of the Great Ruler of the universe, and may the wind-shorn lamb give to her that peace, joy, and happiness, that she might have failed to find here below.

WILLIAM
"William Alvin Bugbee was born in Boone county, Ia., on April 12, 1868.
At the age of two, he moved to Kansas with his parents. They settled in Liberty township, later moving to Rose Creek township, where he grew to manhood.
In 1890 he was married to Katherine Hervitt, who passed away in 1898. To this union two children were born: Roscoe Eugene, now living in California, and Mrs. Charles Osborn of Nevada. On Sept. 19, 1900, Mr. Bugbee was married to Pearl Dooley. To this union was born one son, Floyd, now living in Junction City, Kan.
Mr. and Mrs. Bugbee moved to Munden in 1906, where they have resided since. Until his retirement six years ago, he was an employee of the Rock Island railroad. He has been in failing health for the past year and passed away on Nov. 1. He is survived by his wife and three children and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Callahan of Abilene, Kan. He also had four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bugbee was an active member of the Methodist church, and served on the official board for a number of years. He was a loving husband, father and friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. John Frint at the Munden Methodist church on November 5, 1944."

Dee B. (Bugbee) Osborn 1894-1986 is buried in Carson City , Nebada # 109024157, with Charles Osborn 1889-1955.

Thursday, May 5, 1955 at his home near Elko. Mr. Osborn suffered a stroke last week and never recovered.
Prominent in Nevada banking circles for 20 years, Mr. Osborn came to this state in 1934 from his native California. He was born in Upland, California on May 2, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Osborn. He attended grammar school in Upland, Chaffey High School in nearby Ontario, and Heald's business college in San Bernardino.
Mr. Osborn's first banking position was with the First National Bank in Ontario in 1912. In 1914 he went to work for the Antelope Valley Bank in Lancaster, California, and three years later was named manager of the bank's branch at Palmdale. While working at the bank in Lancaster, he met and married Dee Bugbee, who had moved from Kansas to Lancaster to teach school.
In 1919, Mr. Osborn took a position with the First National Bank of Porterville, California. He was assistant manager of the Porterville Bank in 1934 when he was hired by Carl Wente, the president of the First National Bank of Nevada, to open the Winnemucca branch of the bank. He spent 13 years in Winnemucca before being transferred to Elko as manager in 1947.
During his stay in Winnemucca he was president of the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the state board of education. In Elko he was a member of the Elko Fair Board and chairman of the Elko County Hospital Board. Also a member of the Elko Rotary Club, Mr. Osborn was also active in Masonic affairs. Prior to his retirement, he became an assistant vice president of the bank in Elko, and also served as Nevada vice president of the American Banker's Association.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter; Mrs. Silas E. Ross Jr. of Reno, a brother; William Osborn of Lomita, California, and a sister; Mrs. Isabel Graves of Ontario, California. Burial will be in the Masonic section of Mountain View Cemetery in Reno.
