John C. Thompson, 6 South 47 West


Not likely, but he might be the John C. Thompson in 1890 Hitchcock County, Nebraska, veterans census, serving January 1864 to August 1865 as a sergeant in D., 187th Pennsylvania Infantry.

More likely is the one in 1900 Holt County, Nebraska. John C. is farming, 44, born in Denmark, Mary 34 born in Germany, Peter C. Nov 1889 Dakota, Dolly Dec 1891 Iowa, William Feb 1894 Nebraska, Thomas April 1897 Nebraska, and John five months Nebraska.

In 1910 Thomas County, Kansas, there's a John C. Thompson farming, 55, born in Denmark, married 22 years but no spouse. Edna is 20, Willie 16, both born in Iowa, Thomas 13 Louis 7, John and Bennie 9 all born in Nebraska.


John claimed two quarters in sections 7 and 18, 6 South, 47W and 12, 6S 48W in 1917.



In 1920 Kit Carson County, Vona precinct, John is 66, widowed, born in Denmark, with son Lewis 16 born in Nebraska.

In 1940 Denver, there's a Louis Thompson, truck driver, 37 born in Nebraska, married to Beulah, 24. born in Iowa. Beulah was in Rock Island, Illinois in 1935.

John, born in Nebraska about 1900, might the the John Ivan Thompson who had John Melvin Thompason on May 2, 1925 at Joes, Colorado, mother Elvea Hansasn. They were running a service station in DEenver in1930 adn 1940.
This John Ivan Thompson 1899-1943 is buried in Wheat Ridge # 5048972.

They had Edna Marie Thompson on January 27, 1927 in Joes, dying as Marie Warembourg 1999 # 40819285.
